The Academy's Strongest Undercover Professor

Chapter 157 - A Queen's Authority

We didn't waste any time as we just blazed right through the doors to the castle, opening them as wide as we could and causing a slight glacial breeze to move inside the castle. Right as we entered, there were already nobles arguing with each other about various things. However, their conversation died down as they all looked toward the entrance of the Ice Castle, probably expecting the royal adviser to come back.

But, to their surprise, it wasn't only the royal adviser who came through those doors as both myself and I walked beside him, still holding onto him, making sure that he wouldn't try anything funny.

There were a few nobles currently tied down in the middle of the throne room, and Amelia quickly understood that those were the nobles who hadn't betrayed her. However, there were so few of them that she could only wince. She wasn't graceful for their loyalty… she was simply disgusted at those who betrayed her for all these years, acting like they were on her side.

"I-Is that the queen?" One of them finally muttered as he looked over in our direction.

"The queen? Wasn't she supposed to be dead?"

"I don't know, just look. She's even holding onto someone… is that the royal adviser? She captured the royal adviser!" The elf muttered, losing his mind. "But didn't the royal adviser say that the queen was dead, killed by Zero… just what the hell is happening?"

"The only reason I joined your side was because I thought that the queen was dead!" Another elf chimed in, already trying to break free of this situation as he knew that nothing good would come by being affiliated with the rest of them.

Nevertheless, Amelia didn't even pay attention to what any of them were saying as she had more important things to do at the moment, like showing everyone in this room what happened when they betrayed her.

"Everyone, silence," Amelia said in a very calm, cold tone.

She barely whispered the words; however, they echoed within the entire throne room, sending shivers down everyone's spines.

Then, Amelia simply walked forward in silence as I followed her, holding onto the royal adviser. She walked as everyone in the room's gazes locked onto her. Amelia didn't even give them a single glance as she walked toward her throne once she reached it. She sat on her throne and placed her icy crown on her head. "Bow down to your queen."

Her words held a lot of meaning for everyone in the room. They knew that if they didn't listen to her every word, they would die instantly. They had never seen this look of hatred on their queen's face. However, everyone knew of her power, and they knew that she hadn't become the queen by pure luck.

None of them could even dream of beating the queen in a fight, even if they all allied together. She was just that powerful.

As a result, everyone got on their knees, their faces facing the ground, not even daring to look up.

"It seems some of you still know who your queen is, or had you forgotten?"

I watched on the sidelines as she continued talking, practically admiring Amelia as I couldn't believe it. She had just taken control of this entire situation with only a few words without the slightest hint of violence. She was truly worthy of being a queen, from her beauty to her power to her authority, and there was no doubt that she was worthy of being a royal.

She was honestly mesmerized by that serious look on that cute face of hers…

'Did I just say cute…?' I thought, embarrassed of the thought, as this was no time to be thinking of such things. However, I just couldn't help it; she was really hot at the moment, and she was gaining some points for sure. This new dominant side of hers was definitely something that I liked, especially since she was docile around me.

It was as if she was a different person when she was alone with me.

Nevertheless, I got out of my reverie as Amelia continued to talk.

"We have found this traitor trying to leave the kingdom the same way practically all of my people did. Can anyone tell me in detail what happened while I was gone? If the answer isn't good enough, you will be punished," Amelia uttered a cold glint in her eyes.

The man from earlier, who was trying to make himself pardoned, instantly opened his mouth like a good little dog listening to her master.

"Once you left, all traitors went to see the Royal Adviser and found him in your closet, unconscious… at that point, everyone was thrown into a state of panic. Coupled that with the fact that you left with the stranger on your left. The city was thrown into a state of panic because once the royal adviser woke, he told everyone within the city about your death, and it only created more chaos."

Amelia just nodded at those words as she had already imagined a similar situation in her mind. This definitely made a lot of sense, and she hadn't expected anything less.

"Now, I want to know what your relation to Zero is?"

However, as Amelia said, I had no choice but to speak up.

"If any of you is found lying about your relation to Zero and what he gave you in exchange for your support, you will die. Keep that in mind."

My words were uttered in a calm voice. However, they knew that I wasn't joking.

The same person spoke up first. "I-I don't know anything about that guy, only what the royal adviser told me. That in the future he would dominate the world and that he killed our queen! And that if I wanted to survive, I needed to join his side of the war."

I confirmed that these words were the truth with the help of my skill. However, that was only one person. There were still over 25 people in the room who still hadn't spoken up.

It was time for a little interrogation.
