"H-HOW?!

As Finley stared at Corey's figure, he found it difficult to believe his eyes. He rubbed his eyes, but after doing this, he still found himself staring at Corey's unmistakeable figure.

'How did he get here?'

'Is this an illusion?'

Finley shifted his gaze from Corey to his surroundings. He tried to sense and find any sign of inconsistency in the environment so that he could find the source of the illusion.

However,

"What are you doing?"

Corey's voice reverberated in the surroundings and in Finley's ears. He turned towards Corey and with his eyes as wide as saucers, he could not help but ask once again.

"How?"

Corey raised his brows, but just as he was about to speak, he looked to his left. Finley noticed Corey's gaze, and he looked to his right. However, he saw and sensed nothing.

He furrowed his brows slightly, and then he shifted his gaze back to Corey. Just as he was about to speak, a soft and charming female voice rang out.

"Your senses are really extraordinary. You knew where I was going to arrive before I even arrived there."

'Huh?'

Finley turned to his right, towards the source of the voice, however, he saw no one. Although a second later, he sensed a presence and he looked at the top of a tree.

A slightly stunned expression appeared on his face when he saw Pamela's figure sitting on the branch of a dead tree.

'She can also teleport?' Finley thought with a slight change in his expression. 'If she can also teleport then that means that she cannot be underestimated. I'll have to be careful around her.'

Just as Finley had this thought, his senses picked up on a new presence, and he looked behind him.

The sounds of fallen tree branches snapping and the subtle sound of footsteps resounded across the quiet surroundings, and some seconds later, Finley saw the familiar figure of Selene approaching them from a cluster of dead trees with a pissed off expression.

When he saw Selene's approaching figure, Finley's expression changed to one of disbelief, a tinge of fear, and also anger.

'So that's why.' Finley gritted his teeth with a frustrated expression.

He turned toward Corey with a snap and shouted,

"You fucking coward! Do you plan on hiding behind two women? Is that what gave you the confidence to fight me? Fight me alone if you dare!"

Finley's previous confidence in killing Corey with ease and without any consequences was at an all time low with the presence of both Pamela and Selene.

He could afford to deal with Pamela even though she was talented enough to teleport as a tier 4. However, what he could not deal with was Pamela and Selene at the same time.

'Not only are they both tier 4s, they're also not your average tier 4…' Finley gritted his teeth in anger once again, '... I'm 1000% sure that those bitches would decide not to come here because it would be too 'far' for them.'

'How do they fucking expect me to survive against two tier 4s without sacrificing something precious?'

As Finley had this thought, he stared at Corey with a gaze filled with anger. Meanwhile, Corey shrugged nonchalantly after hearing Finley's words.

"You know what…" Corey took a step forward, "... I've been thinking about how our fight should be."

Corey took another step forward.

"I was like, since this is going to be my first fight against somebody like you, what should our fight be like?"

Corey kept on slowly shortening the distance between him and Finley.

"Should I allow you to unleash all your skills since I'm truly curious about your skills or… should I just kill you in a single strike?"

As Corey kept on approaching Finley with a calm gait, Finley had a deep frown on his face. He didn't know why, but Corey's manner in which he approached him made him instinctively cautious.

'Why am I cautious of a tier 2?' Finley thought with a deep frown.

Meanwhile, Corey paused his walk, and then he spoke.

"So, I've decided… to end it."

The instant Corey said these words, lightning sparks appeared around Corey's feet and Finley's instincts blared to life.

Rumble!

Clap!

Bang!

The loud sound of a thunderclap resounded, the ground beneath Corey's feet cracked, and Corey's figure moved at a speed that was akin to a blur in Finley's eyes.

'What the?!'

Finley's eyes widened, and he tried to react, but Corey's speed was just too fast for him. In the blink of an eye, he saw Corey appear in front of him with a massive axe swinging at him from above.

'Fuck!'

Just as Finley saw his life flash in front of his eyes, the sound of a loud clang resounded in his ears, bringing him back to reality.

He blinked, and then he saw a massive hand made out of bones blocking the massive axe that looked like the grim reaper's scythe in his eyes.

As he stared at the massive bone hand, relief and joy flashed in his eyes as he recalled the source of the massive bone hand.

'It's the life saving treasure I took from that kid.'

He glanced at Corey, and when he saw Corey's frown, a smile appeared on his face.

'Luckily I didn't care about morals, and I chose to kill the boy and take his treasure. I'd have died if not because of my decision back then.'

Just as Finley had this thought, he was about to unleash a counter attack, but he paused when he noticed a change in Corey's eyes.

'Pure white eyes?' Finley was baffled.

What Finley did not know was that the sudden appearance of the massive bone hand had fueled Corey's decision to kill him without wasting time.

At first, he was slightly curious about Finley's skills since he suspected him to be from the Bone Clan. Also, Finley was the first sinner he was going to kill, and a part of him wanted his first fight with another sinner to be something memorable.

However, the sudden appearance of the massive bone hand instantly repelled such thoughts.

Apart from the Lightning Movement Art, he had not used any other skill. He decided to test out his new strength by using all his strength to swing his axe at Finley, fully intending to cut him in half.

Despite the fact that he chose not to use a single skill, Corey knew that his speed and strength was something most tier 4s would not be able to contend with, and after seeing Finley's slow reaction, he fully expected his axe to cut him down.

However, to his surprise, his axe was blocked.

'Before I receive another sudden surprise, I'll kill you.'

Just as Corey had this thought, his eyes became pure white, and he used his skills.

With a cold and indifferent expression, Corey swung upward without losing momentum from his earlier swing.

His Eyes of Omniscience found the weak point of the bone hand, and the instant Corey's axe met it, it stood no chance.

It instantly shattered, and in the blink of an eye, Corey's axe went through Finley.

With wide eyes filled with shock, disbelief, and horror, Finley's body split in half and as it fell, cracks appeared throughout his body.

With a soft thud, Finley fell and died.
