Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 453 452: Sinner

453  452: Sinner

As Mona and Lisa decided to go on a shopping spree, a decision that would temporarily allow them to keep their lives, Corey easily kept up with Finley as he followed the spatial traces that he left behind.

He decided to keep a certain distance between himself and Finley while restraining his aura so that Finley would be unaware of his ability to teleport until they were outside the city.

The main reason for this was so that he could avoid the discussion that would surely come up as a result of Finley's shock and surprise at his ability to teleport.

Having the ability to teleport or manipulate space was a feat that was meant for Tier 5s and some talented Tier 4s.

A Tier 2 was not meant to be able to manipulate space or teleport at all because of the high energy requirements and the massive strain that was always placed on a person's body after teleporting.

There were three known reasons why a Tier 2 of Planet New Earth would be able to teleport or manipulate space.

The first was because the Tier 2 possessed a high affinity and talent for space, thereby allowing him or her to manipulate or interact with space much more easily. However, this was extremely rare even throughout their universe.

The second was because the Tier 2 wished for an ability related to space.

The third was because of a spatial treasure.

The ability to manipulate space was the defining ability of a Tier 5, however, talented Tier 4s or those with an affinity for space could learn how to manipulate space or teleport before reaching Tier 4.

Corey knew all of this, and if he said he wasn't surprised by Finley's ability to teleport, he would be lying.

'I guess he's more talented than I expected…' Corey nonchalantly shrugged as he teleported once again, '... But it doesn't matter. What matters is what I desire from him.'

As both Corey and Finley teleported across the roofs of Stormhold City, what they didn't know was that their act of teleporting had caused people with powerful senses to become wary and shocked.

How could there be people repeatedly teleporting in the city?

Was it assassins or an attack on the city?

So many thoughts and questions were in the minds of those who sensed Corey and Finley teleporting across Stormhold, and in those few seconds, the experts of the city were tense.

The guards of Stormhold were about to issue a chase and capture order on both Corey and Finley, but luckily for the guards and Stormhold, the Dreadkeeper stopped them by telling them that everything was alright and that he was monitoring the whole situation.

Selene and Pamela were right to be surprised by his response and desire to fight Finley. There was no way the insults thrown at him by Finley would ever anger him. At most, it would annoy and irritate him, but not anger him.

However, the moment Pamela spoke and met him, Corey realized that there was a slightly familiar aura emanating from Finley.

At first, he had ignored it, thinking that it was a unique aura of Finley due to the abilities he had, but his stars of consciousness subconsciously processed things he decides consciously and subconsciously ignore, and after processing the slightly familiar aura of Finley, his stars of consciousness made him to recall the aura and also why it felt familiar.

It was the unique aura of a sinner.

After surviving the first tribulation of hell Corey had developed the unique aura of a sinner, and Finley also had a similar aura, but his aura was somewhat different. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

It felt more evil and chaotic. Meanwhile, his was more… controlled and dark?

Corey wished to study this aura, but he knew that he could not since he did not have the ability to do so.

However, despite this desire, the main reason Corey decided to provoke and kill Finley was because of Nina's words in the past.

Killing a Blessed and Sinner can increase his karmic luck.

Although some might say having a 100.01 karmic luck was high, Corey knew that it was not at all.

Just because of the presence of the Nightmare Finger and the Earth Infinity Crystal, his luck decreased from 789.42 to 100.01.

If a 689.41 karmic luck could be deducted from him just because of a Nightmare Finger and an Earth Infinity Crystal, Corey did not want to know just how much more karmic luck he would need to encounter either another Nightmare Finger, Infinity Crystal, or a lucky opportunity.

Corey needed more karmic luck, and if he could kill Finley to gain more karmic luck, then why not?

Besides, Finley was the first person to provoke him.

'But from what I can sense, his sinner's aura is little. I wonder how much karmic luck I can get from killing him.'

Just as Corey had this thought, he saw Finley appear on the city gate for a second before disappearing. Corey took a good glance at the city gates, and then he also teleported above the city gates. Without taking a step on the city gates, he teleported out of the city.

After teleporting outside the city gates, Finley decided to teleport three more times so that the distance between him and Stormhold City would not be so close.

'This should be far enough… Although that bastard is not a problem, the two women with him are the problem. If a fight starts between them, me, Mona, and Lisa, then we would cause a lot of destruction, and no matter what, I don't want that Dreadkeeper to interfere.'

Despite the boiling rage and anger he had towards Corey, Finley knew that he had to be rational and not be stupid or the consequences would outweigh the satisfaction he would get from killing Corey.

"Let me take a break and recover my energy. It should take them some minutes to reach the city gates. I can-"

As Finley spoke, he turned around to look at the city gates, but he then sensed a presence and his eyes instantly landed on Corey who stood with his arms crossed approximately fifteen meters away from him.

Finley's eyes widened in shock, "H-HOW?!"
