Chapter 381: Making The First Move Against Ignar
Chapter 381: Making The First Move Against Ignar
Alister had always preferred to avoid encounters with enemies significantly stronger than himself, especially those several major realms above his own power level.
His cautious nature made him averse to unnecessary risks, and the only reason he had been more reckless in previous simulations was because they allowed him countless retries.
But now, Alister was in a full-dive simulation, which was nearly indistinguishable from the real world. The key difference was that, unlike in the real world, he wouldn't receive a simulation score or rewards without the system's full-dive simulation.
Despite this, with his current power, he could still travel to other worlds within the universe of the Magic Fantasy World without relying on the system.
However, to claim ownership of those worlds, he would have to rely on his own strength rather than the system, which would otherwise make him the World Master of a simulated world.
Alister knew that taking on Ignar, a High God, was a huge risk. But as the God King of the Wright Pantheon, it was his responsibility to protect his subordinate gods, especially when the crisis was severe enough to threaten the very existence of their pantheon.
As the strongest in the Magic Fantasy World, if Alister didn't confront Ignar, no one else could.
Seeing Ignar before him, Alister scratched his head in irritation and looked directly at the fiery god. "Can you not bother us? If that damn goddess of yours wants to fight me, she should come herself instead of sending a mere subordinate like you."
"I don't want to waste my time on you. If you still value your life, leave now, and I'll pretend this never happened."
Alister wasn't lying-he truly didn't want to engage Ignar. After all, Ignar was a High God, and Alister was only a Low God, meaning Ignar was two major realms above him.
In the world of gods, such a gap represented a vast difference in power.
Of course, this didn't mean Alister was cowardly. He was confident that he could hold his own against Ignar if it came to a fight.
But doing so would require significant effort, possibly forcing him to go all out. Rather than engage in a thankless battle, Alister much preferred to spend his time with his two beautiful wives, Lynn and Zanna.
However, when Ignar heard Alister mocking him as merely a subordinate of Fantasia, his fury erupted. His body unleashed waves of fire, and the surrounding temperature skyrocketed, scorching everything nearby.
"How dare you! A mere Low God like you dares to offend a High God like me? And you even curse at the Goddess of Fantasy?!"
Unlike Alister, who possessed numerous trump cards that allowed him to challenge and even defeat those stronger than himself, Ignar had no knowledge of this.
In his mind, Alister was just an ignorant Low God, perhaps mistaking Ignar for a slightly stronger Low God.
From Ignar's perspective, Alister was a newly ascended Low God, inexperienced and unaware of the true scale of power in the divine realms.
Having lived for millions of years to achieve his status as a High God, Ignar believed Alister to be a greenhorn who had yet to see the broader reality.
Seeing through Ignar's thoughts with his All-Seeing Heavenly Eyes, Alister shook his head in disappointment. "It seems you don't value your life. I really don't want to fight, but anyone who offends me must pay the price."
Recognizing that Ignar would not leave the Magic Fantasy World without a fight-and without losing his life—Alister decided to act decisively. In an instant, he appeared behind Ignar, catching him by surprise.
Drawing upon his Physical Divine Power, which originated from the Physical Augmentation superpower he gained in the Zombie World, Alister activated his zombie divine cells,
enhancing his body's strength to its maximum.
Focusing all that power into his right fist, he delivered a powerful punch to Ignar's back, sending the fiery god hurtling into the sky.
Anticipating Ignar's trajectory, Alister summoned the Universal Dimension Mirror and opened a portal leading to the mirror dimension, precisely where Ignar was headed.
Yet, as Ignar's body hurtled through the air, Alister noticed something unsettling-his punch, which had been at full strength, barely caused any damage.
Ignar's body was far more resilient than Alister had expected, and the blow only managed to knock him back.
Realizing that defeating Ignar would require every trump card he had, Alister understood that their battle would likely destroy the Magic Fantasy World if it continued here.
Determined to avoid such devastation, he forced Ignar into the mirror dimension inside the Universal Dimension Mirror, where their clash could unfold without endangering the world he had sworn to protect.
...
In the mirror dimension, an inverted version of the Magic Fantasy World, Ignar quickly recovered from his initial shock and stared at Alister with disbelief.
Although Ignar hadn't known about Alister's trump cards, he quickly deduced that Alister's combat power was far beyond what he expected. Despite being a newly promoted Low God at the Initial Stage, Alister seemed to possess the power of a Low God at the Peak Stage. Ignar now realized that Alister was no ordinary opponent; he was an abnormal threat that needed to be eliminated as soon as possible.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
He remembered that when Alister was only a demigod, he had managed to eliminate Fantasia's avatar-a feat that had alarmed Fantasia enough to dispatch him, a High God, to the Magic Fantasy World with the sole purpose of killing Alister.
For Ignar, who held a high status within Fantasia's pantheon, it was humiliating to be sent across several galaxies to deal with a mere Low God. However, he couldn't disobey Fantasia's commands, so he had no choice but to comply.
But now, faced with Alister in combat, Ignar realized his initial assessment had been gravely mistaken.
Alister's combat power wasn't just at the Low God Peak Stage; it was closer to the Mid God Peak Stage, and it was even approaching the power level of a High God.
Otherwise, there was no way Alister's punch could have sent him flying.
As he studied Alister, Ignar thought, 'Who is this kid? How can his combat power nearly
match a High God Low Stage despite being at the Low God Initial Stage?'
'And judging by the power he used, it wasn't just physical strength-it had strange knockback
effects, almost like rule-type properties.'
'Just what kind of monster has Fantasia provoked?'
