Chapter 58 - 53: Beheading

Chapter 58: Chapter 53: Beheading

In the Underworld, the best way to subdue violence is with violence.

So, the guard captain and his team were gone, too.

Councilman Tyrone’s mansion.

The housekeeper sent Elsa back to the villa where she lived and then returned to the mansion.

“Councilman,” the housekeeper bowed, “I encountered Miss Elsa and her friend at the tavern. Miss Elsa pleaded for her friend, and after I escorted her back, the guard officer has already taken men to deal with the tavern.”

Councilman Tyrone squinted his eyes, revealing a hint of coldness.

Bitch.

“You have worked hard,” Councilman Tyrone said.

The housekeeper bowed and asked, “Does the Councilman want to rest first?”

“Yes,” Chairman Tyrone nodded, standing up and walking toward the luxurious villa behind him.

The housekeeper didn’t leave. He sat on the chair to rest, quietly waiting for news.

The night at the mansion was quiet and comfortable. The housekeeper quite enjoyed this feeling, but it seemed the guard captain was a bit slow in his tasks; he had yet to return.

Outside the estate, guards were stationed both inside and outside the iron gate, which was also equipped with numerous surveillance devices.

At that moment, the surveillance devices sounded as if they were short-circuiting, hissing with flowing electricity, and then with a bang, they went dark.

“Hmm?” The two armed guards outside the iron gate noticed something was amiss and were just about to inspect the situation.

From the darkness, a metallic gleam flickered, and the sound of ‘puchi’ could be heard as a bloody line appeared on each of the two men’s necks, falling to the ground. The metallic glint was from two metallic cards that continued to fly towards the interior of the iron gate.

“What’s going on?” Inside the gate, guards heard the commotion and walked to the entrance to inquire, only to see the metallic gleam flying towards them in the dark and then two more bloody lines appeared, their throats slashed.

In the darkness, several figures approached, it was Xu Mo and his three companions, all fully armed and wearing battle armor and helmets that covered their faces, showing only a pair of eyes.

Xiao Qi stepped forward to check and said, “It’s not locked, it’s remote controlled.”

“Step aside,” Ye Qingdie said, and Xiao Qi stepped aside.

Ye Qingdie’s Source Power Sword in her hand glowed as she struck towards the iron gate, and with a shrill sound, the gate was cleaved open.

Alarm bells rang out immediately, somewhat piercing.

“Sister Butterfly is impressive,” Xiao Qi said in astonishment.

“First time, no experience,”

Ye Qingdie said somewhat embarrassedly, steeling herself.

Breaking into a Councilman’s home was indeed a first for them.

“No worries,” Xu Mo said, walking through the broken iron gate.

Ye Qingdie and Xiao Qi followed with equipment from their backpacks, while Shadow Guard stood by the gate, looking well-trained.

Obviously, this wasn’t their first rodeo!

The mansion was sprawling, and the alarm woke everyone. The housekeeper outside the villa stood up, fixing his gaze outside, wondering what was happening.

Behind him, many people rushed forward, all holding guns.

“Boom…” A loud explosion rang out, and the running people were blown away, with blood raining down in the estate.

Under the dim lights, they saw three figures breaking into the estate.

The three stood side by side.

The one on the left appeared to be a woman, with a Heavy Firepower Cannon on her shoulder, firing directly inside.

“Boom, boom…” Bodies were continuously blown away.

The person on the right also held advanced equipment, shooting blue Energy Beams, creating lightning-like streaks in the night, directly sweeping through the front.

In an instant, the line of people rushing forward all fell, not one left alive.

The trio continued towards the villa as if the defense forces were nothing, like they were walking into their own home.

“What the hell is going on?” The housekeeper’s face was extremely unsightly. Were all the guards outside and patrolling personnel useless?

Someone dared to forcefully break into the Councilman’s home, armed with powerful weapons.

This wasn’t infiltration; it was an all-out assault!

He turned and walked towards the villa, seeing that people had started to come out to support from around the building.

“Kill them,” the housekeeper ordered. The people who came out hid behind Stone Pillars, shooting at the approaching Xu Mo and his two companions.

“Boom…” Ye Qingdie opened fire, and even the stone pillars burst apart, sending shards flying.

The blue Energy Beams similarly swept through.

Amid the gunfire, Metallic Poker cards whirled through the dark, slicing the throats of those hiding in the shadows, with blood spurting out.

The three intruders’ pace was not hindered at all as they made their way into the villa.

At the top floor of the villa, in the luxurious room, Chairman Tyrone had just finished exercising and was ready for bed, with a naked young Councilwoman lying beside him, both awoken by the commotion.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

“What happened?” The young Councilwoman cried out in alarm.

“I’ll go check,” said Chairman Tyrone, his eyes filled with an icy aura. He opened the wardrobe in the bedroom, put on a suit of protective Battle Armor, and took a long Energy Gun as he walked outside.

What were the outside guards good for, allowing someone to kill their way in?

And what about the Law Enforcement Team that patrolled?

All useless.

In the City State Main City, such an incident was extremely rare. The Underworld strictly controlled powerful firearms and Superpower Users.

“Boom!”

A loud vibration sounded as the villa’s gate was blasted open. Chairman Tyrone’s face fell. Beside him, three figures in battle armor approached; they were the housekeeper and two guard officers, essential to Chairman Tyrone’s safety.

“Councilman, someone has invaded. Please rest in your room,” the housekeeper addressed Councilman Tyrone.

Councilman Tyrone’s eyes glinted coldly as he asked, “Do you know who it is?”

“Not yet,” the housekeeper responded. “I’ll take care of it now.”

“Go ahead, waiting for your good news,” Councilman Tyrone said, and the housekeeper headed toward the villa’s staircase with the two guard officers.

After Xu Mo’s trio had blown open the villa, they strode directly inside. As his sensing power spread, the whole villa came under Xu Mo’s perception.

Councilman Tyrone was indeed there, which spared some trouble.

Noises from the staircase ahead, and two figures in battle armor appeared in view.

“Boom, boom, boom…” Ye Qingdie fired in rapid succession. The two figures who had just appeared were hit, their bodies slammed against the wall with the impact, but their armor protected them, just leaving them slightly shaken.

Xiao Qi also took a shot while Xu Mo’s body sprinted forward, his Source Power Battle Blade unsheathed.

As the two prepared to counterattack, they saw Xu Mo appear before them, his blade sweeping across in a horizontal arc.

The War Saber broke through the armor, and two heads went flying, blood splattering.

Then, a figure leaped down from the staircase, a red Energy Battle Blade in hand, chopping down with immense destructive power.

Xu Mo raised his War Saber, the black blade intercepting the other’s attack.

“Who are you?” the housekeeper demanded, his gaze fixed on Xu Mo. This man was formidable.

“You forgot to pay for your drink,” Xu Mo said in a low voice, causing the housekeeper’s pupils to constrict.

As the blades grated against each other, the black War Saber slid across the red one. Xu Mo took a step forward, walking past the foe.

The armor at the side of the housekeeper’s neck was sliced open, blood spurting out. His eyes locked forward, he remembered sitting at the bar in a tavern not long ago in front of a young man who quietly made him a drink.

The drink money?

It’s Elsa’s friend!

Ye Qingdie and Xiao Qi stared in shock at the scene; the three of them had been effortlessly dispatched in an instant.

“Freak,” Xiao Qi muttered.

Xu Mo headed upstairs directly.

Ye Qingdie and Xiao Qi split up to act separately.

Councilman Tyrone hadn’t returned to his room, and seeming to hear faint footsteps, his expression grew exceedingly grim. His gun was trained on the position of the stairwell entrance.

Suddenly, several Metallic Pokers flew out, and Councilman Tyrone immediately opened fire. The gun in his hand shot out a purple energy lightning chain, zapping sharply as it pierced the opposite wall.

“Bang.” The Metallic Pokers, as if they had eyes, whirled and struck, hitting Councilman Tyrone’s hand. Although protected by armor, the shock of the impact caused him to drop his gun.

A figure in battle armor appeared before him.

Xu Mo glanced at the fallen weapon, deeming it a decent piece of equipment, therefore he didn’t destroy it.

“What do you want?” Councilman Tyrone managed to stay composed and didn’t ask who Xu Mo was, but instead what he wanted.

Xu Mo continued walking toward him.

“You can name any condition; killing me won’t benefit you,” Councilman Tyrone continued.

“Who rules the Underworld?” Xu Mo posed the question that had been perplexing him all along.

Councilman Tyrone went pale. Xu Mo’s question made him realize that he might not live much longer. His agenda clearly extended beyond money and power.

“I can tell you everything you want to know, but you must promise to spare me,” Councilman Tyrone replied.

“I won’t kill your children,” Xu Mo said, leaving Councilman Tyrone in despair.

“I hope you’ll keep your word,” Councilman Tyrone said. “The Underworld is ruled by the corporation.”

“What is the corporation?” Xu Mo pressed on.

“The federation’s joint family corporations,” Councilman Tyrone explained. “Take my advice, even if you are strong, don’t make an enemy of the corporation. The power they control is incomparable to that of the Underworld.”

Xu Mo got the gist of it and didn’t waste more time. His body moved forward, and his War Saber swung down.

“Bang!” A loud noise as Councilman Tyrone hit the ground hard, knocked unconscious.

But the armor emitted a strong energy shield, and it wasn’t breached by the slash.

His Source Power Battle Blade inherently possessed the Armor Breaking power, and with his current strength, breaking through armor wasn’t difficult.

Unless, the armor was exceptional.

Xu Mo stepped forward to strip off the opponent’s armor, and then his War Saber swept across the foe’s head.

Beheading.

The one who kills others, will invariably be killed itself.

A fearful scream came from the room, and Xu Mo looked inside to see a woman, naked, clutching a blanket and cowering there.

A metallic card flew in, slicing through her throat and then returning to Xu Mo’s hand.

Xu Mo collected the valuable armor and entered the room, effortlessly cracking the safe. Inside was a pile of Federation money, which Xu Mo quickly packed up, his actions quite ‘practiced’.

After all was done, Xu Mo descended the stairs and saw Ye Qingdie and Xiao Qi, each shouldering a backpack.

The three exchanged glances without a word, tacitly heading out of the villa.

Shadow had cleared the approaching patrol outside, and the four of them vanished into the night.

PS: I hear today is also a holiday? Everyone, remember to stay safe…
