In the past, Flarela had been honored as the first Ascender of the Di Man Tribe, but even she could only flee when faced with a Nirvana Being's pursuit, lacking the strength to contend with it.

Instead, it seemed to be pulled by the red lightning beam, slowly dragged toward the ancient city, toward the Thinker sitting on the spire of the tower.

"That statue actually possesses such terrifying strength?" Lin Shen was shocked.

If the statue had attacked them earlier, he and Ouyang Yudu couldn't have withstood such dreadful strength.

Luckily, they hadn't been as reckless as the Blue Light Butterfly and hadn't dared to damage the ancient city.

The next second, the Thinker actually raised its head, opened its closed eyes, revealing a pair of blood-red irises.

Its mouth opened, almost splitting to the ears, and it swallowed the shrunken Blue Light Butterfly along with its Life Base in one bite before starting to chew.

A terrifying Nirvana Creature was chewed up just like that; it was a sight hard to forget for anyone who witnessed it.

In just a few bites, the Thinker swallowed the Blue Light Butterfly whole, and then its gaze, whether intentional or not, glanced at the small tower where Lin Shen and the others were.

Lin Shen and Ouyang Yudu immediately felt as if they had thorns in their backs, and only then did they realize where that feeling of being watched had come from before.

They had thought it was the Blue Light Butterfly eyeing them just moments ago, but now they understood it wasn't the butterfly at all; it was the Thinker Statue.

The Thinker only glanced once before closing its eyes again, bowing its head to return to its original Thinker pose.

If not for the seaweed having been shaken off its body, revealing a silver-shimmering figure, one might have thought nothing had happened at all.

"I think we'd better leave this place right away," Lin Shen said as he slowly opened the door, his eyes fixed on the Thinker Statue at the top of the tower.

"I feel the same way," Ouyang Yudu followed by Lin Shen's side, the two of them slowly walking out.

Once outside, they began to swim upwards, trying to leave the ancient city.

But just as they started swimming, suddenly a red beam flew towards them, enveloping them like a net of lightning.

The two of them were greatly startled and dove quickly, falling within the ancient city and rushing back into the tower for refuge.

After they rushed back into the tower and looked back, they found the red lightning net outside had disappeared without a trace and hadn't fallen.

Even more sinister was that when they looked at the Thinker Statue, they saw it still had its eyes closed, except for the vertical eye on its forehead which was open.
