She Belongs To The Devil

Chapter 717 Gracefully Clumsy

After walking for about fifteen minutes, Ariel finally spotted a Red Deer munching on some grass. It was quite far away but Ariel was confident that her arrows would reach there. So she grabbed an arrow from her quiver and aimed at that unsuspecting deer.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

She was ready to let the arrow loose when she was startled by Grace's voice near her ear.

"Do you see an animal? I don't see anything."

And because of that, Ariel jolted and her arrow missed the deer.

Ariel let out a deep sigh and looked at Grace with a fake smile on her face. And she replied in a little harsh tone, "Yes! I was aiming at a deer but I missed."

"Ah! I see." Grace was still unaware that the cause of the missed aim was her, and she said in a playful tone, "So, even you can miss the targets at times, huh? It's interesting to know that."

Ariel looked away from Grace and scoffed. She was already agitated by Grace's presence ever since she was openly ogling Damien. And now, she wanted to get as far away from Grace as possible so she wouldn't end up scolding or having a fight with one of the Royal members of Brenalia.

So, she said to Grace, "I think I will look for another prey. Why don't you…" Ariel looked around and saw Zach close by. So she asked, "Why don't you tag along with Zach for a bit?"

Grace turned around to see Zach aiming his crossbow at something. "Oh, okay I will find you in a bit then." She turned to look at Ariel but Ariel was nowhere to be seen. Grace pressed her lips together and smiled. She clicked her tongue and sadly mumbled, "Or not."

She then looked around to see if she could find her cousin. However, the dense forest made it difficult for her to spot Kenneth even when he was roaming nearby.

She looked at the place where Zach was a while ago. But by then, Zach had also disappeared. "Oh no! Now I missed that boy as well… Ugh!"

Grace aimlessly kept on standing right where she was for a while. Because she was following Ariel around, her guards had stopped following her closely so as not to disturb Ariel's hunt. And now, Grace didn't even have her guards to ask for help.

"My guards will find me if I keep on standing here, right?" she thought to herself and waited.

However, she almost jumped when she heard something moving behind her. She slowly turned her head to see if it were her guards. But she couldn't see anyone or anything.

So, rather than staying there and waiting for some wild animal to jump on her, she gathered her gown and ran forward, without caring where she was heading.

After running for a while, she happened to come across Damien who was walking very slowly. She exhaled in relief and sprinted towards Damien while shouting at the top of her voice, "Lord Damien! Hi!"

Damien was strolling with light footsteps so as not to scare off a deer that was drinking water not too far away from him. He wanted to catch that deer with his bare hands and he had been after it for a few minutes now. But Grace managed to scare off that deer in a matter of a few seconds.

Damien gritted his teeth and turned his head to glare at Grace. He was cursing her in his mind, "Why the hell do these cousins piss me off so much? Is being annoying a hereditary disease among them?"

Grace dropped her long gown and lifted both of her hands in the air to wave at Damien. She gave a wide grin to the angry Lord and shouted again, "Lord Damien! Thank God, I found you."

She stopped a few meters away from Damien to take a deep breath in and whined, "I somehow got separated from everyone and was left all alone. And I heard some noises behind me and I was so terrified that something would jump and eat me up. But now that I found you, I feel so much safer."

Damien was still glaring at Grace. He wanted to chase away the annoying lady because not only did she make him lose his prey, but she was being awfully loud and cheerful for no apparent reason.

So he asked her in a bone-chilling tone, "Are you sure you should be thanking God for bringing you to the demon? Are you sure you feel safer with a creature from Hell?"

However, the passive-aggressive threat from Damien went right above Grace's head. And she replied with a smile, "Well, at least I can reason with you, unlike the wild animals. And…" Grace quickly darted her eyes up and down Damien's body and shyly added, "Even though you say that you are a demon, you don't look scary at all. Rather, you look very… um… nice."

Damien crossed his arms over his chest and tried to threaten her again, "I could easily gobble you up. Even Kenny won't be able to save you from me."

And almost as if she was in a trance, Grace uttered in a seductive whisper, "And I would easily give up my life to satisfy your hunger."

Damien suddenly felt his cheeks burning up. No one had ever said such things to him before. He scoffed and he wondered out loud, "I think something is seriously wrong with your head, lady. Did you eat something funky today?"

"I don't know about funky, but I would love to eat something that you hunt today." Grace smiled and closed the gap between her and Damien. "So, what are we hunting?"

And Damien instantly put some decent distance between him and that mad woman. And he warily shouted, "Go and find your cousin. Don't hover around me."

He then turned and walked away.

However, he heard the sound of footsteps following him. He rolled his eyes and started to walk faster so as to lose her.

"Whoa! Argh!" But he suddenly heard Grace's voice accompanied by a thud.

Damien turned around to find Grace on the ground. She was running after Damien and she happened to trip on the root of the tree.

Damien sighed in frustration and mumbled to himself, "Seriously? Can't she even walk properly? What was Kenny saying about her? That she is as graceful as her name? Ha! She's gracefully clumsy if anything."

He then turned around and was about to leave her to her fate when suddenly, all of his senses exploded with desire.

A sweet scent entered his nose and woke his dormant vampire side in an instant. His eyes turned blood red and his fangs elongated.

When Grace tripped, the dagger that she was carrying fell out of its scabbard. And she happened to cut her palm while trying to stop herself from hitting her face on the ground. Her palm started to bleed. Read new chapters at empire

And that smell of her blood lured Damien towards her.

Damien stood in front of her like a predator looking down to attack its prey.

He leaned down and grabbed Grace by her wrist. He pulled her up to her feet. He looked at her bleeding palm and deeply inhaled the aromatic and salivating smell of blood.

Damien turned his soul-piercing glare at Grace's eyes and asked her in a blood-curdling voice, "So… are you ready to give up your life to satisfy my hunger?"
