After their shopping was done and they prepared to go back, Qin Xue did not expect that she would encounter something familiar when passing by this store. So, she carried the groceries over to verify what she saw. Meanwhile, Chu Molin and Xue Ling were waiting for her at the front with their child.

She had been caught off guard and yet, she already apologized. What more did this woman want? Furthermore, she hadn’t moved. If the woman hadn’t come over, she wouldn’t have bumped into her, right?

Now, it irked Qin Xue that she was on the receiving end of hostility. When Qin Xue was upset, she made sure others felt the same.

“Hehe, do you think someone like you, who has been abandoned, can afford such an expensive dress?” Gu Beilin’s contemptuous expression irritated Qin Xue.

“That’s not for you to worry about, whether I can afford it is my concern. Excuse me, miss, do you need anything else? If not, could you move aside? I need to leave.” Qin Xue had already confirmed what she wanted to know and now she didn’t want to continue dealing with this disturbed person.

Chu Molin had asked her to hurry up because he was worried that Xue Ling wouldn’t be able to carry their son for too long. With Qin Xue still carrying the groceries, they needed to go back home as quickly as possible.

Now this woman was recklessly making things difficult, making Qin Xue feel like hitting her, fearing that Chu Molin and the rest were getting impatient waiting for her.

“Why don’t I buy you a dress as a gift?” Gu Beilin stared at Qin Xue with hints of jealousy. How was it possible that Qin Xue’s figure remained exceptional even after having a child?

Gu Beilin thought of the women she knew. All of them had changed drastically after having children, growing as plump as pigs. However, Qin Xue didn’t show any signs of that.

Not to mention Qin Xue was even slimmer than her. Her attractive figure was on full display, even though the clothes she wore had no brand name; yet her unique charm was exhibited perfectly.

Jealousy surged in Gu Beilin. The temperament exuding from Qin Xue wasn’t something anyone could possess. It was an indifferent outlook towards worldly affairs that Gu Beilin couldn’t possibly understand. The only way for her to grasp it was through death and resurrection.

“No need. I have my own clothes to wear, you should worry about yourself. Also, a piece of advice for you, don’t wear clothes that don’t suit you. It’s truly laughable.” Qin Xue spoke and attempted to sidestep Gu Beilin.

However, she was only able to take one step before her arm was grabbed.

“Let go.” Qin Xue coldly glared at the hand gripping her wrist, a wave of an impulse to break it washing over her.

Qin Xue didn’t like unfamiliar people touching her. She used to prepare herself mentally to get along with Fang Hong and the others, but this woman was a complete stranger to her. She didn’t want to continue interacting with her.

“If I don’t let go, what will you do?” Gu Beilin looked at Qin Xue, lifting her chin up defiantly.

“If you won’t let go, don’t regret it.” Qin Xue replied, setting the groceries she was carrying on the ground and preparing to retaliate when she found someone else had joined in.

“LinLin, let go.” A cold, piercing voice resonated by Qin Xue’s side.

“Brother.” Gu Beilin hadn’t expected her brother to show up here.

“What are you doing?” Gu Beihan glanced at Qin Xue and had a sudden feeling of familiarity.

“I am shopping with mom.” Having seen her brother’s face, Gu Beilin quickly released her hand and timidly replied.

“Shopping? And what is this all about?” Gu Beihan looked at the woman who barely reacted since his arrival. Has his charm faded? Why didn’t this woman act as if she had seen him at all?

For some reason, Gu Beihan was intrigued by the woman blatantly ignoring him. He wondered whether she was genuinely indifferent to his appearance or was she behaving differently from the typical woman? Or was she trying to capture his attention in this way. Regardless, she had succeeded because he was indeed noticing her.
