Number One Dungeon Supplier

Chapter 2182 Manor of Vishnu -Part 6

"By the way, do we really need to move out in these uniforms?" No.7 asked even though she did not dislike the Maid Uniform that had been 'bestowed' to her when they arrived in this dungeon instance.

The heels were comfortable and it was suitable enough to move around as well but traversing in the forest might not be the most ideal footwear. Much less the long skirt especially when it could be a hindrance to go through the possibly dense forests.

"There are no alternatives at the moment, nor are there additional uniforms within the cleaning room." No.7 added as well but No. 2 sighed before aiming his Wand Rifle towards her.

"Hold Still." No.2 said after taking a shot at her, making the command/order to comply rather meaningless. However, that shot immediately changed No.7 clothes into a camouflaged outfit that was worthy to be used for hunting the War Boars. It was breathable and yet versatile in its design.

"Where did you learn this?" The rest queried, but No.2 seemed a little reluctant to answer but he guessed that after going through thick and thin with these people, they were people who he could trust.

"I always have a spell that can convert my outfit. That is how our hunter family was able to survive in this business for long. To be able to modify our clothes to an extent where it could be adapted to the current surroundings." No.2 said but that was also where No.7 started to blush a little and he guessed she had found out earlier than the others.

But unlike the rest who currently do not have access to magic and telepathy powers, No. 2 quietly told No. 7

"Erm, I am sorry, that is the price you have to pay. There is barely enough material on the maid outfit it seems. And I also cannot turn it back to a maid outfit. That is not my specialty." No.2 said to No.7

"Then you could have told me earlier rather than showing off your stupid skill!" No.7 faked her smile as the others were rather intrigued with the current ability that No. 2 showed off.

"Let's go off before the sun comes up, or else Vishnu would be displeased with our tasks." No.7 quickly pulled No.2 and they quickly flew off while the rest continued cleaning the area up.

"Is there any way to compensate? With additional material or whatsoever?" No.7 queried hastily.

"I could give you my butler coat and we can give it a try again..." No.2 replied slowly and that brought another question into No. 7's head.

"Why the heck are you still in your butler's uniform if you already changed mine?" No.7 asked. "Is it because you are worried that the same thing happened to you?" She asked as No.7 went closed to him and attempted to strangle him while in the air for an answer. After all, if she was going commando, he would have to do the same as well otherwise, there is no equality in this hunt.

"That is arrghh!" No.2 did not resist and instead attempted to continue to fly higher in order to not hit any trees as they approached the Manor's Forest.

"Stop it. Stop it." No.2 said as he now had a clearer picture of the Forest with the partial moonlight shining down at it despite No.7 continuing to cling to him. Yet, they did not go any higher because of the abnormal purplish clouds hovering above them.

"Focus on the task at hand." He added that he already started scanning for heat signatures within the forest itself to check for signs of the War Boar.

Even though the Commando Mages did not actively participate in the fights in the Week Long War, they still assisted in digesting the information and helped with giving out the commands to the teams on the frontline. Thus, No.2 had the information needed to seek out the War Boars assuming their genetic signature did not change much.

No.7 had also decided to stop fooling around and started to scan the other portion of the Forest Manor to search for War Boar signs. If they really could not find any through magical methods, then they had to go the old fashion way of tracking their prey.

Thankfully, it did not boil down to such manual measures and they found a herd close to a rather huge stream where they were resting. But the thing that they were not thankful for was that they were in a herd. If it was a solitary War Boar, it would have been an easy task to fulfill.

Thus, they either had to isolate one of the War Boars away from the herd or they confronted the whole group. "Speaking of which, how much meat do Vishnu's guests need? Do you think a single War Boar's worth of meat is sufficient?"

"Now that I think about it, that Vishnu person would definitely have the same nonsensical conditions as our King..." No.2 stopped to ponder.

"Maybe, it's our King that gives such ridiculous conditions to Vishnu. Or his Royal Advisor." Even saying this rank gave shivers to the pair of Hunters that were surveying the area.

"Regardless, let's try to get the whole herd, or else we will fail this thing for nothing."

"Who knows? Maybe it's another scenario entirely? He did say ten tries but I do not believe he would be that merciful to give us the same scenario ten times. I sometimes do not understand why our King does such a thing to us."

"If you ask me, we are undoubtedly being unreasonable. We want vengeance for our leader since all of the Celestials returned but not our leader. But at the same time, this personal vendetta that all of us bore grudge with will be against the current situation that our King is trying to make.

He wants to make peace with the Celestials after whacking them hard so that we can a) cool down and take revenge, b) break the cycle of hatred."

"Well, he did option B but not option A for us. I would not have complained if he allowed us to rampage. Right now, the only ones hurting are us since we did not see any action for all the additional training we had done. We are the COMMANDO Mages, not BODYGUARD Mages." No.7 remarked and No.2 could not refute.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"And here we are doing stupid things to please the Celestial Lord in order to have a chance to eliminate him. What rubbish. How unfair this whole ordeal is." No.7 commented as she finally decided to end her rant for the sake of time and worked with No.2 to complete their objective.

No. 2 also understood the absurdity of the mission at hand and did not understand his King's predicament. The only thing he can theorise is that the Commando Mages were his bulwark against the Celestials if everything went south and thus he did not deploy them unless it was necessary to do so. Yet, Jin did not comment or acknowledge such a fact which caused the Commando Mages to be perplexed.

Regardless, he had also decided to keep his head in the game and proceeded to discuss with No.7 how to get the Herd as their game meat for the morning feast.
