CHAPTER 53 - Kaira Strakler 2.
In a place unknown to Alex. A small, dark cave that had nothing other than a beautiful girl inside of it.
The girl had her eyes closed as she sat in a lotus position. Her modest chest—which was highlighted due to her skin-tight, black assassin-type dress—heaved up and down in rhythmic motions, and her fair skin reflected whatever little light filtered through the broken ceiling of the cave.
Her venta black hair was flowing down her waist, so silky that even the smallest wave of wind could send them backward.
But just as the atmosphere in the cave looked calm and unbothered, the girl's ink-black eyes snapped open in pain before she coughed violently.
Cough-Cough-Cough!
By the time she was done with it, there was a puddle of blood in front of her. She had coughed blood, and unlike normal human blood, which is red in color, hers was black.
She was Kaira Strakler, the same person whose clone Alex had killed on the other side. She sat straight as the events with Alex in them played in her mind again and again. She didn't even bother to wipe the trickle of black blood flowing down her lips as she kept reviewing the memories.
By the time she was done, there was a dangerously wide smile on her face.
'He is the supposed savior of our family, huh?' She thought as she got up from her spot, moving toward the end of the cave.
She kept moving forward, still busy with her thoughts, unable to see the wall in front of her, but just as it seemed like she was about to crash into the wall, she passed through it.
'I-I...' She stammered in her thoughts, one of her fists clenched while the other slowly snaked toward her neck, gripping it tight as she kept walking, not in the least bothered by the change of surroundings.
She had stepped into an area with a large lake-like water body, and although she was still inside a cave, the scenery was completely green, filled with all types of plants, unlike the barren surroundings a moment ago.
'That feeling...' The girl, playing the whole scene again, had a strange light shining in her eyes as she grew thin, her face turning red as she gripped her throat tight enough to make it impossible to breathe.
'I want that feeling of oppression...' Her other hand roamed on her body as she groped herself here and there. Trembling with the wide grin that never left her face.
Tear!
She tore apart her clothes, clawing her own body, not caring if there was someone looking at her right now. She didn't even bother to hide her perky breasts with erect pink nipples, nor did she hide her neither region, which, although not clean-shaved, still looked tempting.
'Our savior...' With the image of Alex looking down at her, growling in anger flashing past her eyes again and again, she clawed her body repeatedly, resulting in several bloody marks, which healed almost instantly.
'I love him already...' With that thought in her mind, she jumped into the lake, not bothering to stop what she had been doing, making her body, which lacked buoyancy, go deeper and deeper.
'I want him to kill me again. I want him to look at me like that. I want him to love me. But...' Her grip on her body finally loosened, but instead of floating upward, she let her body sink, giggling to herself, making the air in her lungs go out.
"Hehehehehehe..." As she giggled in a very strange manner, it was as if she was enjoying how her body suffered, but just because she loved it didn't mean that just anyone could do it, right? If that were true, then there would be many people out there, ready to have the love of this absolutely beautiful girl.
'... you need to survive my love to live with my love, my dear!' The girl finally completed her thoughts, her grin going wider as she wondered if this new lover of hers would survive, or just like many of her past lovers, die on their first meeting.
"Hehehehehe."
She kept going deeper into the lake, letting out air bubbles from her mouth before she disappeared into the deep darkness. The last thing one could see on her face was a crazed smile.
She wasn't supposed to be like this. Not in the original plotline. She was supposed to be caucious, cold, and scheming, but she wasn't supposed to be crazy. All of this, however, was just like Alex had thought—because of him.
But not because of the reason he thought it was for—it wasn't because he stole something she was supposed to receive later on. Not at all.
It all happened way before that. Way before she awakened her mana.
During the time she was 3 or 4 years old, that was when it all happened—her family's massacre. But unlike the main plot, she wasn't able to hide for long as there was someone way stronger than they could've imagined involved.
That 'someone' was the one who had sent men to kill Alex and his father at that time, but they were only able to kill Alex's father and died under Vanessa's hands, which made that person frustrated, making them go for the Stakler family themselves to let out some frustration.
There was no chance for Kaira to stay hidden. She was captured. From then on, she was exposed to constant torture—torture severe enough to make any grown man shit his pants just by looking at it. She had to survive that on her own, and she survived.
Why did they not just kill her or do something bad—such as r*pe and all—to her? That was because there was something they needed from her. A location of a place she didn't even know of and the key to that place.
She was tortured for so long that her mind turned twisted. She started to enjoy the torture, but during that time, even with her unawakened body, she had killed many of her torturers. She used to bite their throats off or even throw her broken teeth in their eyes.
They were all just normal men with very low power, so they died, but she wasn't able to escape. Never. Even if the ones who tortured her were weak, the ones who controlled them were strong.
But then one day, when she wondered if she should just kill herself, someone finally came to her help, but again, nothing was for free in the world, so although that person helped her escape and even pointed the way to where her family's survivors were living, that person asked for something in return—something that no one would want to give, but Kaira agreed.
The rest of the plot was almost the same, with Kaira bringing her family to new heights, but this time, she was way more cautious and ruthless than before.
Yet, their family artifact still gave the same prediction. She needed to find this person—the anomaly. Only they can help their family get their revenge. But again, unlike the main story, where Ben was the best among the participants, this time, there were two people like that.
Keryu and Ben.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Kaira's eyes, however, were never on them. She had been living as a clone in this academy for two years, and Alex, who was going against all norms—breaking records, setting new ones, doing things in a new way, and many other things—at that time, was the one she considered to be her savior.
Since then, she had been observing Alex, not wanting to make any hasty moves, but these days, as the situation of her family organization again turned to be getting worse, she started to lose focus, letting herself get discovered even having her clone killed.
But who would've thought that, unlike the magnanimous image in the academy, Alex turned out to be just her type?! She fell for him the moment his blade passed through her neck, and now that he had her loving him, Alex was probably going to find a lot of trouble because Kaira's love was a bit... unique.
However, Kaira's becoming like this was, in a way, his fault, so...
Poor Alex gotta take the burn for it.
Sitting next to Mira and talking to her—or more like he was speaking and Mira was just listening—Alex could feel a strange chill up his spine, almost making him spring up, but he quickly waved it off as he had many things going on in his head.
