After hanging up the call, Mu Xichen dialed another number and waited for the call to connect.

A few seconds later, a man's voice came from the phone. "Young Master Mu, what can I do for you?"

After the man accepted the order, Mu Xichen ended the call. He stood silently, gazing thoughtfully at the villa across the street.

Meanwhile, in another villa in the outer ring of the neighborhood, a man in his thirties put down his phone. Turning to someone nearby, he asked, "Where is Brother Ling?"

One of the men working there looked up and answered, "Brother Ling is in a meeting with clients. If it's urgent, you can find Brother Yuan in the warehouse."

The man nodded. "Thanks."

After leaving the office, he hurried to the warehouse. Seeing Yuan Rihui watching the workers count and pack fresh meat, the man quickly approached him.

"Brother Yuan." He called.

Yuan Rihui turned and asked, "What's wrong? Why do you look so flustered?"

The man approached, lowered his voice, and whispered, "Brother Yuan, a client just requested us to investigate Miss Yao."

Hearing this, Yuan Rihui's expression darkened. "Who is it?" he asked.

"The young master from the Mu family," the man replied.

Yuan Rihui frowned and asked, "Young Master Mu-Mu Xichen?"

The man nodded, and then Yuan Rihui asked again, "What kind of investigation does he want?"

The man explained, "Young Master Mu wants us to investigate what happened to Miss Yao after Lan Guanghui kidnapped her. He also wants information on everyone Miss Yao has met or known since then."

Yuan Rihui's frown deepened as he pondered what the man had said. Seeing him lost in thought, the man waited patiently.

After a long silence, Yuan Rihui said, "Go ahead and investigate as he asked. But you must show me the investigation report before handing it over to Mu Xichen."

"Yes, Brother Yuan," the man replied before leaving to carry out the task.

Standing in the warehouse, Yuan Rihui thought for a moment before turning to the workers and saying, "I have something urgent to handle. Once you are done packing, load the supplies onto the truck and send them to the client."

The workers nodded in unison. "Yes, Brother Yuan."

Handing a document to one of the men, Yuan Rihui left to find his elder cousin.

While everyone was preoccupied with their tasks and plans, an incident unfolded in the slum. That night, most of the residents had retreated to their tents, leaving the dirty, narrow streets deserted.

In one dark alley, a man dressed in black stood before a group of injured men covered in injuries and blood.

One of them was leaning against the wall, holding his broken arm, looking at the man in black with obvious fear in his eyes. His voice trembling as he groaned in pain and asked breathlessly, "Wh-who are you?"

Wu Yehao looked down at the man and coldly asked, "Answer my question. Who is your captain?"

The injured man, confused by the question, replied, "I really don't know what you are talking about."

Hearing this, Wu Yehao stepped on the man's leg, snapping the bone at once.

When one of them noticed Wu Yehao's gaze land on him, he trembled and hurriedly knelt before him.

Enduring the pain all over his body, the man repeatedly knocked his head against the ground and begged, "I will talk! I will talk! Please spare me!"

"Who is your captain? What is your mission?" Wu Yehao repeated coldly.

The man trembled under Wu Yehao's murderous aura and stammered, "It's-it's Captain
