Magic Sect of Beauties: The Strongest Mage is in a Cultivation World

Chapter 303 The Pavilion of Unspoken Feelings, Visit From a Chaste Demon.

Yang Wei was seated in a small pavilion designed for leisure. It was a public space where anyone in the sect could lounge and chat, but no disciple dared to stay when the Grand Elder was present. As such, they all exited the pavilion, leaving Yang Wei and his companions to relax.

There was a wooden table with a tea set, including a teapot, several teacups, and a steaming pot.

Yang Wei sat on one side, enjoying his tea with a calm, thoughtful expression.

On the other side, Sun Yuying and Lingyu were also having tea with him.

"So…" Yang Wei began, looking at Sun Yuying, but she quickly shifted her attention to her tea, avoiding eye contact.

Lingyu looked at the two with half-open eyes.

The sad thing is that there's no romantic tension. I can't believe my sister sees this man as just a friend, and yet here she is, too shy to talk to him after a year. Oh goodness, what would she do without me?

The lady sighed and asked in her soft voice, "How have you been in the last year, Respected Yang?"

Yang Wei stared into the black-haired beauty's purple eyes and smiled tenderly. "Again, just call me Wei."

A knowing smile appeared on Lingyu's face. This wasn't the first time he'd said this, but she was still grateful for how he had led her to her freedom when she was floating endlessly in the Void Realm.

"I can't seem to get used to it…" she chuckled, then sipped her tea.

"It's been quite a good period for me. As you know, I spent the past year in seclusion and have successfully formed a celestial gold core. This should be superior to yours, Sun Yuying…"

Yang Wei gave the white-haired beauty a smug side-eye.

She gripped the handle of her teacup so tightly that it almost cracked. "Grrr…" she uttered with frustration, although still hiding her face.

Not wanting to get on Sun Yuying's nerves for too long, Yang Wei chuckled and said, "Ah, I see you've already reached the Late Core Formation stage. Looks like I need to work harder to catch up."

If he were to be honest, Sun Yuying was the most talented female cultivator he'd met.

He couldn't say the same about Mu Lingxi because he hadn't witnessed her cultivation journey from the start. In Sun Yuying's case, they had been in the Outer Sect together, and he had watched her grow since then.

Few cultivators could achieve the Core Formation Realm in nearly three years; it usually took most people 10 to 50 years.

Yang Wei got so deep into analyzing that he completely forgot he was having a conversation with two beautiful ladies.

Suddenly, Sun Yuying spoke in a dull tone.

"I'm talented, yes. But I'm not like you, am I?"

Her grip on her teacup loosened as she stared down with an unsatisfied expression. She watched her reflection in the tea, and all she could see was a weak woman.

Lingyu looked at Sun Yuying with straight eyebrows and an expressionless face.

Ever since I revealed the truth about her origins, that she is likely the last heir of the Divine Sword Sect, she has been tirelessly cultivating to become stronger.

She knows the dominant cultivators in the Upper Regions are all at the 4th path of cultivation, and after hearing about their overwhelming power during the Heavenly Court's divine judgement, she realized how outmatched she truly is.

Yang Wei is the only one in the Lower Regions who can rival their strength, and she has set him as her benchmark for cultivation success. She believes that if she can match his power, she might be able to restore the glory of the Divine Sword Sect.

I deeply admire her determination, but it is to be expected from someone I consider more than my twin soul.

"Why do you say that all of a sudden?" Yang Wei asked.

Sun Yuying's face remained solemn, and she couldn't even look Yang Wei in the eye.

"I hate to admit it, but I've always wished to have your strength and talent. You're someone I can only admire from afar. I thought I was ready to accept that reality. But since I started cultivating, it has become my inner demon. If I don't overcome it, it will hold me back and stop me from reaching the Nascent Soul Realm."

She spoke with heavy breaths between her sentences.

"Y-, you know my past, and you know why I'm mostly bitter. I have an absolute hatred for men, even though it's unfair to judge them all based on one mistake. But the pains, the torment… mental tortures, they simply won't let me."

The white-haired mage wore a calm face, "Yuying…" he thoughtfully said.

"What I'm saying is, you're the only man I deeply care about. You're the only one who has truly touched my heart. I don't know if I should feel cheap or foolish… my past is a blur except for the suffering it caused. Maybe that's why I'm ready to open up to someone again… ready to open up to you."

"What are you saying?" Yang Wei asked.

Sun Yuying finally looked him directly in the eyes, and her violet eyes' beautiful gaze seemed to pierce right through him. Her eyes were not only pure but also sacred, completely free from any hint of doubt.

"I fear that if I don't say it now, I'll regret it later on my cultivation journey. I don't want to walk this path alone, especially if it turns out to be a long one. If it's possible, I hope we can journey together on the path of the Greater Dao."

Those were her thoughts, coming straight from deep within her heart.

Walking together...

That word meant a million things in one to Yang Wei.

It meant something he never thought he'd hear from Sun Yuying.

It meant companionship.

It meant support.

And it meant mutual encouragement on this arduous journey of cultivation.

"I…"

Yang Wei was at a loss for words.

However, Sun Yuying had already planned to help him.

"For now, please don't say anything or respond to my request. I know you're practically married to three women already. I don't have much influence in your life like they do, so just take my words as those of someone who's selfish and doesn't understand the consequences of asking a married man such a thing. I just needed to get this off my chest."

With that, she stood up and composed herself. The indifferent look returned to her face.

"I plan to retreat into seclusion for several months to see if I can begin to touch the Nascent Soul Realm. Afterward, I will know whether what I said here today was right… or simply plain foolishness."

Sun Yuying took a deep breath and walked away.

Lingyu watched her leave and then turned to Yang Wei, "You're not going to say anything?" She wasn't pressuring him for a response, just pointing it out.

A soft sigh escaped Yang Wei's mouth.

He was unbothered by Sun Yuying's words, not because he didn't care, but because he cared deeply.

He trusted in Sun Yuying's strength. She had built herself from so much suffering, and he knew she had the strength to make decisions for herself.

Their discussion highlighted her insecurities but also showed Yang Wei that she was willing to open up fully to him.

"Lingyu…"

"Yes, Wei?" Lingyu smiled at him.

Yang Wei shifted his gaze to the lush greenery and bright, clear sky.

"Tell her that I don't see her as selfish or a homewrecker of any sort… tell her I hope she finds the strength she's looking for."

Lingyu maintained her smile as she nodded.

"I will do as you say."

She stood up and took her leave.

Yang Wei sat alone, finishing the rest of his tea. He gazed at the beautiful view from the small pavilion, which helped him think clearly.

I could always help Yuying with my dual cultivation physique, but I'm not sure how Yue'er would react. She's the one keeping our relationship strong, and I don't want to strain it by being unfaithful. Besides, I doubt Yuying would want my help now that she sees me as her target. She wants to achieve her strength on her own, and I have to respect that.

Sigh~

Yang Wei took a small sip of his tea. "Honestly, can't I catch a break in this sect?"

Mu Lingxi returned from a short walk around the Mu Clan settlement.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Normally, she would have flown around the entire sect on her sword, but she decided not to risk running into Yang Wei.

From her perspective, Yang Wei was someone who always managed to annoy her, yet her heart would still skip a beat whenever she saw him. She hated feeling this way. If she could, she would stop thinking about him completely, but her heart just wouldn't let go.

"What's so special about him anyway?" she muttered, falling onto her bed and closing her eyes to think.

I've been feeling really off lately, and I need to talk to someone about it. Maybe Father or Elder Brother Zhong. I just need to get this off my chest.

...Cloudcrest, Heavenmind, and my mother are all in the Middle Regions right now. If we go there after the Sect Resource-Allocation Trial, does that mean I'll have to face her? I don't think I can handle that.

I could ask Yang Wei for help since he promised to save me if anything bad happened. But do I really need a man to save me? Can't I get stronger on my own? Besides, Yang Wei is basically married to Lin now, so I shouldn't rely on him. I have to handle this myself.

She thought so deeply that she looked like a worried wife.

Suddenly, a cold, unfeeling voice broke the silence.

"Hey…"

People say never to judge a book by its cover, but that one word filled Mu Lingxi with fear. It was the kind of voice that seemed to carry a welcoming bloodlust.

Your next chapter is on empire

It was the voice of a chaste demon.

A look of shock appeared on Mu Lingxi's pale face. Her mouth hung slightly open, and her eyes were wide and quivering, as if blinking would make the world end.

Seated in a dominant position behind her was Emperor Heavenmind.
