Chapter 1194 Revival
A week after the end of the Grand Gathering, Aillos entered a closed-door training for his ascension. Kyran left a few of his puppets with Energy cores that could circulate Void energy to monitor Aillos's progress while he was gone. He also instructed Rae to check on them regularly.
Ducal and his subordinates would also be keeping an eye on Aillos. But mostly, it was to observe the Ascension Array because by then, they were already convinced that Kyran's formation would not have any problem.
They were determined to understand the array and wanted to see if they could create something similar that would not require Void magic energy. Because of this, they were eager to observe the Array and understand its flow.
Meanwhile, training the dragon tribe representatives on how to use Anahita's technique started a few days ago. With the help of the other Aides, Kyran created an Array formula that the dragons could activate so their innate magic would not have any problems adapting to Anahita's technique.
The formula was a solution born from a problem identified during the closed-door meeting after the tribe leaders understood the concept behind Anahita's technique. The problem they discovered was how the technique could only be used by dragons with innate magic possessing nature similar to the Golden Dragon Tribe.
To explain briefly, the nature of the Golden Dragon Tribe's innate magic, Gold magic, allowed them to turn their bodies into gold. Because of this nature, it was easy for them to use Anahita's technique.
However, dragons with innate magic that did not have a similar nature to theirs— for example, the Venom Dragon Tribe's Poison magic, which did not have the capability of hardening their bodies— would have trouble activating the technique.
Kyran's array formula fixed that problem.
At first, the tribe leaders were skeptical of his idea of combining array with magic. However, Kyran explained that he had used this concept for a long time. He also explained that his seemingly skinny body could produce tremendous strength because of the enhancements on his coat, which were created from several sets of Array formulas.
After hearing his explanation and even showing the formulas that allowed him to increase the 'weight' of his 'bones' or improve the 'mass' of his 'muscles,' the tribe leaders finally accepted his idea.
The formula on Kyran's coat was similar to the enhancements created through Draconic magic. The only difference was that the array did not use Draconic magic energy. Thus, combining the array's effect with Draconic magic could further increase its result.
While on that topic, some tribe leaders suggested scribing the array formula to a coat similar to Kyran's. They even suggested producing his coat with all its enhancement while they were at it. That was actually one of the reasons Eldir requested Kyran's assistance once his tribe's workshop was built.
To be honest, Kyran's coat had several other enhancements that would typically not work together. But telling the tribe leaders all that would only make the discussion dragged on, so he did not bother to explain it and simply agreed to create something with enhancements that would work on them.
After completing Anahita's technique, Kyran met with Eldir and started formulating the blueprint for the coat where the array formula would be imprinted. They did not take long to complete the blueprint since Kyran already had something to compare it with: his coat.
Only after seeing the design on Kyran's coat did Eldir realize the complexity of his enhancements. He wanted to discuss them in detail, but knowing how tight Kyran's schedule was, he reined in his curiosity for the meantime and only focused on the task at hand.
Back to the present, now that Kyran's action items for the clan preparation were completed, he focused on the ones he had for his family.
Another group had completed their time inside the Energy Assimilation Array by the time Aillos went into closed-door training. About four to five groups were still left, yet the energy within the array was still abundant.
This actually surprised Kyran because, in his initial calculation, the array's magic energy should have halved by then. He was not complaining, though. Since he could use it for other things. In fact, he needed it to improve his control over Chaos magic.
Because Kyran gave Rae a different task, he arranged for someone else to oversee the Energy Assimilation Array. The only one he could think of, with Array Knowledge similar to his, was none other than Neo.
Unfortunately, Ruin hijacked Neo's body.
Fortunately, Kyran managed to take Neo's programming and energy core after negotiating with Ruin.
Of course, Kyran had to surrender a different energy core. If not, Neo's body would not be able to move, beating the purpose of Ruin hijacking it in the first place.
Kyran had several energy cores that were not in use. Since it had enough connection with him, technically, it was still tied to him and would receive his immunity to the Fates Code.
Ruin accepted the explanation, which was why he did not argue when Kyran proposed changing it. In a way, Ruin also knew that Neo's programming was connected to his energy core, so if he disagreed, Kyran might not agree to help him.
Anyway, it took Ruin a great deal of effort and time to return to the Higher Realm, and he did not want to waste the opportunity to stay by pissing Kyran off.
Kyran knew that and took advantage of it when he negotiated with Ruin.
After that, Kyran had been so busy with many things that he did not have the time to transfer Neo into another body. He also needed a new one for him, and that had been one of the reasons he wanted to return to the Lower Realm and visit Somuli.
Some automatons in Somuli had yet to form their sentient— Kyran would generally refer to them as puppets. Still, because their materials and program were similar to automatons with sentient, he no longer called them that.
Anyway, Kyran wanted to give Neo a more robust body and considered designing a new one. However, given the time and materials he had on hand, he knew it was close to impossible for him to make a new one for Neo as soon as possible. Thus, he thought using the automatons he left in Somuli was the best.
Quality-wise, the automatons in the Tower of the Ancients were better. But those automatons had already formed their sentients, so Kyran could not use them. In any case, he could enhance Neo's body in the future, so it was not really a big deal if it were inferior to the ones in the Tower of the Ancients.
Kyran had already updated Neo's programming. This meant his Array Knowledge was comparable to Kyran's. Because of this, Kyran felt more at ease, leaving Neo to oversee the Energy Assimilation Array.
While he could also leave it to Ducal's subordinates, those who were there during its creation, there were things that would not make sense to them especially those that used Void runes. Thus, Neo was the only best candidate.
Kyran admitted that reviving Neo worried him because he had been in a 'frozen' state after Ruin hijacked his body. Another thing he was worried about was how intact his programming and 'thoughts' would be. After all, the one who took over his body was someone who used Ruin magic.
Fortunately, Kyran's worries were unfounded after Neo showed no signs of deterioration or change to his 'character.' As a matter of fact, Kyran felt Neo had already developed a very strong character that he almost wanted to reformat him. He did not do that only because Cyneah looked very happy to see Neo again.
After dealing with the Energy Assimilation Energy, Kyran took time to meet with his people— his Servants and Sigils.
Most of them had yet to enter the Energy Assimilation Array. In fact, Kyran arranged for them to be the last ones to enter. The only one who entered early had been Zephyr because his identity was special.
As the last survivor of the Quilins guarding Shaiha, Kyran wanted to give him time to visit his remaining relatives once he exited the array and finished his adjustment phase.
Zephyr had yet to return after leaving the main palace. However, he already sent Kyran a message telling him that he met with his remaining relatives and would be staying there for some time.
To be honest, calling them his relatives was a little off. Rather than calling them that, it was best to call them his descendants. Most of his relatives were also left in the Human plane, and the only ones who returned to the Higher Realm were those too young to stay behind.
Kyran wanted to give Zephyr time to spend with his descendants and decided not to tell him his plans to leave the plane for some time. He believed Zephyr would rush back if he knew he planned to go out because he did not absorb the magic energy to improve his level compared to others who entered the Energy Assimilation Energy with him.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Instead, it allowed him to return and improve his original strength.
For short, Zephyr was now Kyran's most powerful Sigil, whose level was compared to a newly ascended High Sovereign.
Kyran met his Servants and Sigils. However, he did not give them any specific order. Instead, he only grouped them and assigned group leaders to lead them.
The groups were separated according to the plane or affiliation he met them.
For example, the Servants and Sigils he met in the Human plane were grouped together, with Tritus acting as their leader. The same went with the ones in Somuli, with Akim and Kessiah forming two groups and them acting as their leaders.
Finally, Kyran appointed Gael as the head of all groups. He chose Gael because his Shadow magic adapted to the Void magic's nature better than the others. Apart from that, his trip to Somuli improved his level, making it higher than Tritus. Most importantly, his Shadow magic's nature could monitor everyone, making it easy for him to know everyone's status and whereabouts.
