Chapter 977 Towards the event's conclusion
[Eon's POV: ]
After the first group of seniors, there were a few more groups who joined us for lunch. And by the time we were finishing up, there were still a bunch of seniors coming with the expectations of having a meal with us.
'Not all of them were there for my cooking, some of them were merely there to have a chat with us, however, since the lunch was concluded and everyone was going back to their stalls, or to have some more fun in the various attractions of this festival, we couldn't give them more time.'
Well, we were all students anyway, so those who wanted to chat around with the seniors stuck around while the ones who didn't have anything to do there anymore, went on their ways.
Some of them were there simply for my food while some of them were there for the group.
And now that there was neither any food nor the entire group present, many just went on their way, including us.
"Zoe is quite something alright…"
And now, we were watching all the masterpieces of the classes that were genuinely created in a short span of three weeks.
"How did she get the idea of making these individual pieces and then using the block representation of the individual elements?
Sir El also got access to the core lab for them. How amazing is that?"
"Quite amazing, actually."
Zoe was Sir El's niece so she was not simply the same as the other students of his class.
As a teacher of the academy, there were many protocols that he would have to follow when dealing with someone connected to him, and the students did not know that.
'Having her in his class was more difficult for him than having a class filled with all kinds of genuine children.'
It was also his first experience being a homeroom teacher so, he didn't know how exactly he would be influenced just because of her presence in his class so he had to be especially careful of everything he does around her.
Still, he was a Teacher of this academy, so he knew what he needed to do as well as what were the things that his students would not like.
So, he did his best to draw the line between his personal life and his academic career. And the students of his class could see that well in the various 'pauses' that he had to take for various things between his lectures.
"Do you know how we can rearrange these blocks into something else?"
"Hmm? We can do that?"
"Yeah. She wanted to embody the flexibility and plasticity of the academic life of the students when she made this."
"Damn. She's even more amazing then."
It was a fact that Zoe was at the centre of (Class A)'s project, but this masterpiece wasn't created by her alone.
The idea was hers, and the execution was done by the entirety of her class.
"If you look closely, all these pieces are also a puzzle."
"A puzzle? Oh, does that mean she wanted to hide some kind of secret message inside of them?"
"Exactly. Though, I don't know what that message is either."
This simple yet amazing looking tree was something so grand that its comparatively smaller size doesn't really matter much.
This competition wasn't about who could make a better masterpiece, but about how well one could represent the values of the various elements that were closely connected with the academy, the creation of the great Masters.
"You don't know what it is? Is that the reason…"
She looked at my hand which was glowing silver a moment ago. And right when she saw it, the faint light varnished.
"The analysis will take time. There's more than a hidden message in this thing.
She went all out on this, I must say."
The blocks that were making this entire tree structure were crafted individually in the core laboratory of the academy, a place only accessible to the teachers who have proven their skills in the area of creation.
'Uncle El had that access though it wasn't because he was an amazing creator but because he was assistant to the senior teacher who was called one of the greatest creators of this world.'
There was a special (Arcanum laser) in that place which was only used when creating things with great details.
'It was a device that was rarely used since most of the things that they make nowadays didn't really require that kind of detail.'
Plus the smaller things that they do make are too sensitive for a laser that uses high density Mana particles for the creation process.
"Their entire class worked hard to finish the design and framework, unlike our class.
They didn't have a blueprint in the first place since this was going to be a block creation with very specific requirements.
All of them were given a specific block to design under certain conditions, and they not only had to include a specific part of history in it, they even had to create all sides of their cubes.
Zoe was the ultimate editor that fixed all those individual blocks and made them into what we see right now.
And, the fact that her entire class trusted her for this important work just shows what kind of influence she has on her classmates that aren't even in her house."
Rein knew all this already, but as the big brother, I couldn't help but be proud of my little sister.
'Even if she was different any of us, just the fact that she was doing so well in a class filled with all kinds of nobles, all kinds of people that just one person couldn't handle, and with a complicated situation like hers, and with Liz to look after, she was doing much better than I would have ever expected.'
And above anything else… she was having fun with whatever she was doing.
Be it creation or having fun with her classmates, she was smiling, she was laughing, I was in trouble sometimes and under pressure and all kinds of work, but she was enjoying more of her time with her classes, with her other friends, and with her own work instead of worrying about me like she used to.
'She's growing well.'
Just like how her mom wanted.
And that's what makes me even happier.
"Well, that's that."
Class A had created this amazing masterpiece which had received the most attention among the other creations from the public, but our (class I) had also made something that they couldn't possibly ignore due to its sheer size that had cast a show on a section so big they had to move the other projects from that area.
Class B, Lady Sam's class had created a pyramid containing the three years of a student's life in this academy, filled with details so great one couldn't help admire it with all their hearts.
Class C master Brok's class was also one of the candidates for one of the three top spots. With the grandmaster craftsman on their side, they were able to create a giant shield that contained elements representing a student's struggle in their lifetime in the academy, as well as after they graduate.
'It was called a shield, but it was nothing less than a giant wall of metal that had such unique elements that even Zoe and I were surprised by the genuine thoughts put into those details.'
He was a grandmaster for a reason. And with an enthusiastic class that wanted to help him with even the smallest thing, they definitely had a good time creating this amazing piece.
Class D, on the other hand, was a little different in that regard.
'With Lady Vermilion having a strong hold on her class, she used all her children to the best of their potential, making them do things they didn't even know they were capable of.'
She actually 'used' them, and created a giant glass monolith representing all kinds of achievements that students receive in their life in the great academy, starting with their very first Class Point, and ending with the teachings that they have when they are ready to leave their academic life behind.
'It was also one amazing creation, I must say.'
And then there was class E, F, G.
'All three teachers in charge of these classes were amazing people that were famous all over the world.'
They had many achievements, but they were more amazing when it came to their creations.
'They had followed the criteria unlike any other class, and created structures that weren't anything like the other classes.'
They had their individual impressions on those creations, which wasn't a bad thing since what they had created, all their masterpieces were in fact amazing.
Class E's academy castle, class F's treasure egg representing an unborn child with unlimited potential, and class G's unique painting representing the 'Goal' that most students strive for. All of them were amazing creations, one of their unique kind.
Class H and their representation of [Love] was one of the most amazing things a Human might ever lay their eyes upon, Class J and sir Aventurine's unique (Maze) was a question to the humanity that's most definitely going to go down in history pages like class L and their representation of academy's garden and its diverse mortal lives.
Even Quinn's class K's representation of the Blue bees that live here is an amazing masterpiece, different from all the big things that all the other classes had created.
All these masterpieces were unique, fun, and most certainly something that one person alone would have never been able to create in the short time that was given to us. At least, in most normal circumstances.
"It was fun."
"I wanna do this again, haha."Nôv(el)B\\jnn
More than how we were enjoying this amazing festival, we had enjoyed creating our special masterpieces.
We knew all the other classes, despite their different kinds of experience, would think the same.
'It was a challenge to us students and the teachers that are incharge of us.'
And even with a lot of constraints and difficulties, we did it.
All of us created these masterpieces.
And that experience alone, is more joyous to us than this festival, this fun, or the achievements that would have our names on them.
