Infinite Potential System

Chapter 371 Juhi

Battling fiercely with the two Region Leaders, Atticus eventually managed to trace the Light Beams back to their source. Even if Atticus didn't have sight comparable to William's, Atticus wasn't stupid. He slithered across the sky to the Region Leaders' dismay, heading directly towards the first of the three Light Cannons.

The Cultivators sending Mana into the Light Cannons saw Atticus rushing to their position and panicked. They stopped the flow of Mana immediately and spread out in all directions, hoping to confuse the Mythical Rat Snake.

Atticus snorted. How could Nascent Soul beings possibly hope to escape?

Still within the range of his opponents' false Domain, Atticus was unable to use his Territory to its full capacity still, but there was no need. With a single flip of his massive tail, a group of Cultivators became a cloud of blood while the Light Cannon was smashed into pieces.

The few surviving Cultivators were scared out of their minds and used secret Techniques to burn their life force and speed off into the distance.

"Sstupid machinesss. You can't fight with your own sstrength?" Atticus taunted the Region Leaders that were still chasing close behind. His tail flipped back and forth wildly, warning them not to come too close lest they end up like their subordinates.

The other two Light Cannons promptly stopped firing at Atticus, realizing that he was tracing their shots. Instead, they moved a few kilometers at a time during his battle and fired off one or two shots.

Atticus became more and more frustrated throughout the battle, but he still managed to destroy the remainder of the Light Cannons, at which point the enemy Cultivators were completely exhausted and were forced to retreat.

Atticus himself was missing quite a few scales and covered in blood, but he was mostly okay. He could easily fight an entire day with his current stamina, but the same wasn't true of the Region Leaders.

Even with the support of Atticus' bloodline, it wasn't enough to breach the massive gap between them. Not only was Atticus' Cultivation half a Realm higher than theirs, but he also carried a stronger Illusion Element than they could achieve even with combined power. They accepted that they were no match, but they didn't fail to collect more of Atticus' blood before leaving.

Atticus tried to chase after the group, but the appearance of long-distance portals made him abandon the thought. He couldn't compete with the Space Element at all, and following might lead to a more sinister trap than the Light Cannons.

Without the Life Element or any additional forms of self-recovery, Atticus had no method to heal his injuries quickly. At their current rate, it would be an entire year before he was back to peak physical condition, but Atticus knew the other Cultivators wouldn't wait for him to recover.

I could contact Master through System-San, but I don't want to rely on him all the time. He's done so much for me already. Atticus thought as he returned to the Beast Tide's battlefield.

With a few quick flips of his tail, Atticus wiped out the remaining hundred Beasts and marked the end of their battle. He scanned the environment, making the Cultivators nervous as his eyes locked onto a group of healers.

"Can you still heal?" Atticus asked the nervous group, who had only just noticed Atticus' condition. One of them nodded quickly and cast multiple Life Magic Spells on the snake, exhausting their entire Mana Reserve to close a small scratch on his side. The Cultivator passed out moments later.

The others paled at this sight. "Master Snake, it might take a while to heal you."

Atticus nodded, "Thankss."

The same day, atop a mountain in the Hillvire Empire.

Tenebris was seated in front of an Ancient Array Formation made of Tier 6 Arrays. He pulled out a thousand Mana Stones from his Space Ring and placed them in front of the Array Formation. The Formation lit up the moment the Mana Stones appeared, absorbing the Mana Stones at a rate of one per second.

A pillar of light as thin as a fingernail pierced into the sky, connecting to the Ascended Realms. In response, a second, similarly sized pillar came down from above at a slight angle, creating a holographic humanoid form so blurry that one couldn't even tell if they were male or female.

"What is it, Tenebris? You've made a fifteen-minute connection; do you already have the heart for me?" the unknown Cultivator asked.

"Not yet, Esteemed Ascendant Juhi. While the strength of my organization has never been higher, we still fall short of acquiring the heart you seek. I fear that the Magical Beast may break through soon. By then, it will be too late for us to have an effect." Tenebris explained.

He found that his new Blue and Green Region Leaders were exceptionally skilled for their ages. Not only that, but they were able to use tricks to defeat opponents of greater strength with ease. They didn't allow their superior abilities to go to their head, and even made the best use of his lesser subordinates to have an impact in larger-scale battles.

They were the complete package, and Tenebris had learned much from this new group of people. The only problem was, the Mythical Rat Snake belonged to someone even more powerful than them, and his progression speed even seemed to exceed that of his subordinates.

If Tenebris continued to wait for them to succeed, William might show up and kill these geniuses. He only had one option left: to call for help.

"So, you've failed, and still want to ask me for assistance?" Juhi's tone became cold.

"We are too weak, Senior. If you want to descend and obtain the Mythical Beast's heart, we can help you, but that's all. Worse yet, this William continues to grow stronger, yet he's still present in this World. The Superior Tribulations attack him constantly, so we know where he is at every moment, but they have no effect on him. He even ignores the Tribulation!"

"Even the Superior Tribulation can't do anything?" Juhi paused for a moment to think.

If what little Tenebris says is true, this person might be trouble for the Ascended Realms. I would be doing the Heavens a favor by killing him.

Tenebris nodded, but he didn't say more. Further attempts to convince Juhi might backfire, and Tenebris was becoming increasingly concerned about William. He already wasn't a match for the boy, but he was even inciting William's wrath by targeting his Companion Beast.

If William returned to the Continent and discovered his Beast had been injured by none other than Retribution, that might just spell the end for the organization.

No matter what I do, the boy is the problem. If I attack him, I risk death. If I avoid him and allow him to absorb the World Cores, I will lose an entire century of planning... the only option is to allow this Juhi to be a hired blade...

Juhi remained still for almost fifteen minutes, only answering when there were just a few seconds left on the connection.

"Wait for me. I'll kill them both."
