I have a wildlife zoo

Chapter 196 Even the wall can't support me, I'm impressed by this parrot!

Liu Xueqing's family, Liu Xueqing and Yingying, having not drawn the chance to make mooncakes, prepared to go meet up with Yingying's grandfather.

However, by that time, Yingying's grandfather had already finished visiting the red panda exhibit. Originally, he had just planned to casually stroll through the zoo, but then he was enticed by the festive atmosphere and started touring enthusiastically. Yingying, on the other hand, wanted to draw red pandas in the red panda exhibit and didn't want to go meet up with him.

So, after a quick phone call, they decided to continue their separate ways, with the grandparents and Yingying's father continuing the tour. They planned to reconvene after a while, when Yingying had finished her drawing.

In the red panda exhibit, near the glass wall, there were some small stools placed at that moment, and at the entrance of the exhibit, there was a pile of drawing boards and drawing materials—crayons, watercolor pens, and colored pencils were all available. Anyone who wanted to draw could apply with the staff, and then return the materials after finishing.

Yingying sat on a small stool with a drawing board on her lap, her gaze focused as she wielded a red crayon, scribbling on the paper.

On the drawing, two red pandas stood upright on their short legs with hands raised, staring at each other, tails trailing behind them, neither willing to back down!

This was a scene of red pandas demonstrating intimidation that Yingying had observed.

Children's imaginations are always abundant; she even drew thick red gloves on both red pandas, making them look like they were wearing boxing gloves ready to fight.

Behind them was a female red panda, donning a floral wreath and a white dress, with watery eyes, as if saying, "Please don't fight anymore!"

Around the eyes of the two red pandas, there were blazing yellow flames shaped like waves, their electric gaze challenging!

Ah, they're getting angry, about to catch fire!

Today, whoever wins the fight will marry the bride!

Glancing at the real red pandas in the exhibit, she picked up an orange crayon and added some color to the red pandas, darkening a patch on their chests and adding white rings on their bushy tails.

The children around were drawing red pandas eating apples, red pandas curled up asleep on a tree...

Red pandas gazing at the moon, red panda superheroes flying in the sky...

Some adults, who had initially planned to make a serious drawing, after sketching a few strokes and seeing the kids' drawings full of whimsy and imagination, alongside their vibrant lively colors, then looking at their own uninspired, stiff, and rigid lines and colors, quickly, secretly, after a few more strokes, rolled up their papers...

Too embarrassing!

But later on, after submitting their drawings at the tiger exhibit, no matter how well or poorly they are done, everyone will get a raffle ticket, and there will be a chance to draw prizes at the end of the visit.

Even if one doesn't win a big prize, participating is still quite fun, and it provides an opportunity to share the results on social media.

At that moment, Yingying's grandfather was looking at the macaw with amazement!

How could there be such a large parrot in the world, and moreover, its feathers were brightly colored in red, blue, and green, very beautiful and clearly distinguished, with a white head and a black beak resembling the facial makeup in Peking opera.

The crowd was equally abundant at the side of the macaw's enclosure, not only because of their beautiful and attractive plumage but also because they seemed to have mastered festive greetings!

Jostling in front of Jin Martin, excitedly greeting him, "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!"

After speaking, everyone quieted down, eyes wide and ears perked up.

Jinzhi stood on the perch, looking out at the expectant crowd, chest puffed out, like an earnest news anchor on TV, his articulation clear, his voice hoarse: "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!"

"Hahaha! Awesome, awesome!"

"666666!"

"Oh my gosh, the parrot wished me a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!"

"He really said it!"

"No way, I've got to record a video of this!"

The visitors, excited and stimulated, burst into an uproar of noise!

Previously, because the Mid-Autumn Festival was approaching, the sign read "Teach the parrots to speak! Today, try saying ______ to them," and the blank had been filled with "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival."

Jinzhi learned pretty fast, after practising for a week, just in time for Mid-Autumn Festival today, he could speak!

Grandma was laughing so hard she could hardly contain herself, "This parrot is really endearing!"

Yingying's father said to grandfather with a smile, "Dad, look at this parrot, it can even say 'Happy Mid-Autumn Festival,' isn't that amazing?"

The old man's eyes widened in surprise, he nodded, and gave Yingying's father a thumbs up.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

This parrot was indeed impressive!

Jin Martin also flew over, flapping his wings, looking eager to try.

The visitors quickly quietened down; if they kept making noise, their voices would blend together, and the parrot might not respond.

A visitor tentatively greeted, "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!"

Jin Martin shouted loudly, "Awesome, awesome!!!!"

Afterward, he lifted his head high, looking extremely smug!

"Pfft~"

The visitors burst into laughter!

"I'm dying, this parrot, that's seriously awesome!"

"Don't even need to lean on the wall, I'm impressed by this parrot!"

"Where did this parrot learn to say that!"

No one had actually gone out of their way to teach it!

However, when they saw the parrot speaking, and sometimes even dancing and DJing with music on, there was always a visitor who couldn't help but sincerely exclaim "awesome."

Jin Martin heard it so many times, he ended up learning it as well.

The old man watched the parrot speak without blinking, having seen a few animals already, the macaw attracted him the most.

Yingying's father took out his phone and called Liu Xueqing, "Hey, how's Yingying's drawing coming along?"

Liu Xueqing glanced at Yingying, absorbed in her painting, "It's not finished yet, but it should be soon; most of it is already colored in, and she's drawing quite earnestly. How are mom and dad doing?"

"We're watching the macaws right now! You wouldn't believe it, but the parrot has learned to say 'Happy Mid-Autumn Festival.'"

"Really? That's kind of impressive," Liu Xueqing covered her mouth in surprise, then laughed, "Once Yingying finishes, I'll take her to see the parrots. That sounds like too much fun."

"Alright then, oh, it looks like the mooncakes are ready and being brought over here, I'll hang up now!"

"Okay, looks like we've got some here too!"

The ring-tailed lemur and macaque feeds are pretty similar, both consisting of fruits and vegetables, so while making mooncakes, they made some for the ring-tailed lemurs as well. The other animals in the isolation areas didn't receive this treat because they are in quarantine, and even if the mooncakes were ready, visitors wouldn't see how they ate them.

There were dozens of ring-tailed lemurs and macaques combined, and they had the most mooncakes made for them, followed by the alpaca mooncakes, which, although few in number, were larger and ate more.

The macaws, red pandas, and other small animals ate less due to their smaller numbers, so the mooncakes made for them were set aside first to avoid confusion, and some other mooncake fillings were distributed as well.

Everything was sorted out in half an hour.

The animal keepers from each exhibit, along with the kids and the ready mooncakes, began handing out mooncakes to the animals.

The mooncake-making site was a resting area next to the bamboo forest, so nearby animals like the macaws, red pandas, red foxes, and raccoons were the first to receive their mooncakes!
