Greatest Streamer System

Chapter 369: Chapter 369 – Face Off

MadLad was glad he was on the same team as Lightning, someone he knew. Not only that, he was also put in the same Team 1 where OperationMLF, the event organizer, was. This was a good chance for him to show off and get some viewers.

"Hey, we're lucky, aren't we?" Lightning spoke to him as they moved in a small group of 25 people.

The strategy OperationMLF made, after he was made the leader, was to split the team into four and engage in smaller combat against other enemies. He believed that no one would be foolish enough to move as one big group, as that would be difficult to manage and not too efficient.

Therefore, moving a smaller group with a sub-leader was the most optimal. MadLad was somehow chosen as that sub-leader for this group because 5 of his viewers unexpectedly joined. Lightning was put in the same group with his 3 viewers.

There were some streamers also, but none of their viewers managed to join because they forgot to stop their 1-minute delay in their livestream, which proved to be fatal.

Moving on, their group was pretty solid. Everyone followed MadLad's instructions pretty well, although there were some people who wanted to stray away because they believed they found enemies. However, that was a fake call.

Overall, MadLad was pretty satisfied with his group and managed to score a few points by killing a stray enemy, probably scouts, as they moved together.

Indeed, it was a pretty good outcome. Until…

"Hey, MadLad. Look in that direction."

A streamer with long black hair, ksophim2, called out to him and pointed in a certain direction where the snow was pretty thick. It was hard to see in this weather. MadLad had to squint his eyes to find what ksophim2 pointed at.

At the end of his finger, a large group of people could be seen running toward them. Three people were in the front, with one of them moving pretty fast despite the snowy terrain. That man had a fur coat around his shoulder and two axes in his hands.

His black hair was ruffled, moving back and forth from the wind. A grin decorated his familiar face. MadLad recognized him in just one glance. There was no way he didn't recognize him.

"It's Breeze!" Lightning screamed excitedly as he held his twin axes in hand. "MadLad, give us instructions? Run or fight? I think we better fight because we won't be able to run from him!"

"I know. That bastard is fast." MadLad shouted back, "Guys, we are facing Breeze's group. We won't be able to run against him, so we will confront him now. Make sure to kill some of them, just one kill each person is enough. That fucker is that strong, you hear me?!"

"Is he that scary?" Someone asked, it was Mar, another streamer who joined them beside ksophim2. "There are too many of them! Can't we just run away? It's suicide."

"I would do so if we met another group. But it's Breeze's group." MadLad ground his teeth in frustration. They didn't know how scary the streamer called Breeze was. "Look, he's almost here! Brace yourself. Kill that fucker first and we can kill the other easily!"

"I agree! That's Breeze we're taking. Kill him!"

"Blood God is waiting for his blood… Give him to me. I will kill him! AAAAHHH!!!"

"Ooh! Kill him! Offer him to the Blood God!"

Everyone rushed at once, ready to confront the incoming attack. The first person who began to attack was Max.

Just like earlier, he threw his axe from the long range.

MadLad looked at what he did with a wry smile.

'This fucker is really insane!'

Being a sub-leader meant he had to stay calm and give out commands.

"Shields!"

6 people who brought a shield immediately stepped forward to block the axe. They made a line and protected those behind them.

The axe thrown by Max earlier hit one of the shields, the one in the middle.

Tak!

The sound rang and MadLad immediately gave out the next command.

"Char–"

Thud!

Before he could finish it, he saw someone standing on top of the shield-bearing player in front of him. The axe in his hand was lodged onto the next person's head, drenched in frozen blood.

It was Max. And he had the friendliest smile as he found out about his friend.

"Hello there, MadLad." He greeted him casually as he pulled out his axe. "And goodbye."

After saying that, Max swung his axe horizontally. The blade became a blur, and MadLad couldn't react fast enough.

'I am dead.' He thought silently as he accepted his fate.

However…

Clang!

His vision never shifted. A blondie suddenly got between him and the blade and used his sword to block the axe. Even though he was pushed back, he still managed to save him from the jaw of death.

"Hehehe, you can't do that, Breeze! MadLad is our sub-leader so he can't die!" The blond guy, Lightning, grinned excitedly.

Max looked a bit surprised by the blond's reaction time, but he grinned back. This battle wouldn't be as easy as he imagined.

Moreover…

"Give me your blood!"

A crazy-looking red-haired man suddenly appeared behind him. He was swinging a large war axe without thinking about his teammate.

Max jumped to dodge the attack. Even though he was wielding an enormous axe, his movement was pretty fast, although not as fast as him. The axe passed by right under him, just above Lightning's head.

But it didn't end there.

"Kill him!"

Swoosh!

Three arrows were flying toward him while he was in the air. The timing was pretty much perfect as if they had practiced it a few times.

Max was forced to block them with his axe. His hand moved at a fast speed, like a blur, and he managed to block the arrow that went directly to his head. The other two just nicked his arm and leg, creating a small wound.

Still, the attack continued. Lightning's axe was already swung from below. It would definitely hit him as he couldn't dodge.

"I got you!" Lightning exclaimed as his grin widened.

Swoosh! Tak!

That was the last expression he had on his face before an arrow pierced his temple. He couldn't even finish attacking and fell back down.

Max used this chance to back away. He stepped on the red-haired man's head and jumped backward, landing beside ArcherGirly who lowered his bow.

"You saved me." He said as he laughed. "Thanks."

"You're welcome. I will have you shout out my name as thanks later."

"Hahaha, that's not a problem. My chat is filled with your name now. They say that I should say thank you more sincerely." Max said, "Hey, chat. I was already sincere, alright? What do you want me to do? Huh?

Bow? Nah, I won't bow. That's just too much! I won't kneel either!"

"That sounds great. I wanted to see that too."

"Hell, no. Keep it in your dream, thank you."

Two groups faced off. While Max sounded pretty relaxed, MadLad was overwhelmed by the suddenness.

Everything happened in a flash. The attack, the counterattack, and the retreat. Two people in his group had fallen, that included Lightning, his friend. And no one from the other group died. Even Max survived.

"Damn it!" He cursed loudly.

There was no other choice. Direct confrontation was unavoidable since the start, so why would they hesitate?

"Attack! Kill them all!

Rushing toward the enemy was the best choice here.
