Chapter 562: 559, The industrious porter – Su Yu_1
Alright, let’s do it this way!
Half an hour later, one of Cindy Doppler’s trusted aides brought the details of the warehouse to the office and put them on the desk.
After briefly studying the details, Su Yu picked up Nemesis, who was feasting on deep-sea fish from Skuru, from the table. Smiling at Cindy Doppler, he said, “I’m heading out, wait for my good news!”
“Be careful on your way,” said Cindy Doppler affectionately. “Also, Su Yu, you must not reveal the connection between us during this operation. If that happens, all the support I have worldwide would instantly turn into hostility, and I would have nowhere to hide!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t expose us. You also need to be careful and avoid keeping untrustworthy people around you. Goodbye, Doppler!”
Su Yu and Nemesis gradually faded away in the conference room.
…
After leaving Cindy Doppler’s residence, Su Yu, along with Nemesis, headed north towards their destination.
After leaving Beak City and entering a forest, Nemesis jumped out of the pet space.
“Nemesis, I have a question for you,” he said, looking warily at the surrounding forest.
“What question?” Su Yu looked at her.
“It’s about Cindy Doppler,” Nemesis said seriously. “Can we trust Cindy Doppler a hundred percent? Is there a possibility that he would betray us? For instance, might he inform the Raging Sun Empire about the coordinates of the warehouse we’re about to visit, setting us up to get attacked by the top God Level experts of Skuru?”
Before Su Yu could open his mouth to say something, Nemesis interrupted him. “Wait and let me finish. I know our last collaboration went smoothly and that he doesn’t mean any harm to me. But we haven’t seen each other for over a month and you never know what is in someone’s heart. What if he has changed?”
“Hmm, you have a point,” said Su Yu, nodding in agreement.
Cindy Doppler from Su Yu’s previous life did not betray humankind even when they were on the brink of extinction, However, he couldn’t blindly trust this life’s Doppler based on his past experiences, because people sometimes change in an instant.
“Let’s do it this way then,” Su Yu pulled out a golden [Dice of Destiny] from his necklace. “We shall use a turn to check how reliable Doppler is.”
“Alright,” Nemesis tilted her head to look at the dice.
Su Yu threw the dice.
The dice traced a perfect golden parabola in the sky, finally falling into a nearby bush.
Both Su Yu and Nemesis had good eyesight, allowing them to clearly see the number on the upward face of the dice in the bush two meters ahead.
It was a “six”!
They both let out a sigh of relief.
It seemed like there was currently no problem with Doppler.
“Are you reassured now?” Su Yu playfully ruffled Nemesis’s head. Rising in flight, they continued towards the warehouse.
“Wait!” exclaimed Nemesis at the sight of the neglected dice in the bushes.
But before she could finish, Su Yu cut her off. “No ‘waits’. Speed is of the essence in warfare. We need to get there and get back quickly!”
“Alright… Okay.” Nemesis held back her laughter. She wanted to see when Su Yu would notice.
Su Yu and Nemesis disappeared into the horizon.
Three minutes later.
A silver-white portal lit up next to the bush where [Dice of Destiny] lay.
Su Yu emerged from the portal wearing an exasperated expression on his face, hastily picked up the dice, and went back through the portal.
…
…
An hour later, a large-scale logistical supply group storage warehouse on the banks of Linglinger River.
This material storage warehouse group was heavily guarded by G2’s 30,000 elite troops. Even the general tasked with overseeing the warehouse had a peak sixth level strength!
G2 was fully aware of the importance of this warehouse, and had specially sent a heavy guard to defend it.
However, for Su Yu, all of these guards, various detectors (spiritual energy detectors, infrared detectors, photo detectors, etc.), and high-ranking practitioners were like toys.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
He activated [Strong Invisibility Skill] and strode deep into the storage area without being detected by any sensor or high-ranking practitioner.
In addition, he had the precious artifact, [Echo of the Phantom Cat].
({Echo of the Phantom Cat (Consumable)}
Remaining uses: 13
Effect 1: Spend 1 usage to enter [Ghost] state, pass through blocking objects like walls, etc., for 5 minutes.
Effect 2: Expend 10 uses to summon the Ghost Cat for a [Ghost Strike], causing 100% true damage to target’s life value, ignoring shield and damage reduction skills. (Only effective on targets below level 63.)
Note 1: The effectiveness of Effect 2 extends to targets at the same level as [Tina Garcia]. If [Tina Garcia] dies, the consumable becomes unusable.
Note 2: If [Tina Garcia] is within 40 meters of you, this consumable regains 1 use every 6 hours, up to a maximum of 30 uses.)
[Echo of the Phantom Cat] could allow his body to pass through walls, to enter a warehouse or some similar enclosed facility, just as if he were entering an uninhabited territory.
Very easily, he found himself in the stockroom of the largest warehouse.
…..
After entering the weapons-filled warehouse, Su Yu’s eyes lit up!
One could see that the east side of the warehouse was filled with more than two-meter high battle mechas; the Raging Sun-047 types, the Raging Sun-981 types, the Brilliant Banner-B4771 types…..At least a hundred of them, each one the latest in military mechas!
Behind the Mechas were seven or eight large boxes filled with spare parts and unassembled Mechas. After being assembled, they could probably create another two hundred or so units!
The west side of the warehouse was filled with boxes of firearms. Su Yu used his spiritual energy to sense the contents. Sun-27 types from the Raging Sun Empire, Sun-41 types, MP-751 from the Lun Kete Alliance, XPER types – all of them were the main laser guns of both armies.
These laser guns had high penetrating power and a long range, making them highly effective against practitioners.
Estimating the quantities based on similar quantities, Su Yu reckoned there were twenty large boxes filled with firearms in the warehouse. Each box had at least a hundred guns.
That meant there were at least 2000 firearms!
He quickly brought Nemesis out of the pet space. “Nemesis, help me shield the monitoring system. I will handle the boxes!”, he said in a low voice.
“Got it, meow!” Nemesis shook her body, her fur standing on end, as she used illusionary skills to shield the Skuru’s cameras.
Su Yu, on the other hand, put everything except the boxes inside his necklace with a simple wave of his hand, leaving nothing behind for the Skuru.
In just 15 minutes, he cleaned out this huge warehouse. Only empty boxes, supports, and the walls were left behind.
Su Yu patted his hands satisfyingly and called out to Nemesis, “Let’s go! There are other warehouses to visit!”
The rest of the warehouses also contained a substantial amount of strategic resources, awaiting their transportation.
“Okay!” Nemesis cancelled the illusion, leaped up onto Su Yu’s shoulder, and disappeared along with him.
