Chapter 732: Bring

Chapter 732: Bring

The peacock soared through the skies for hours. Although its Speed cap wasn't very high, because it wasn't limited by the ground's terrain, the time it was making was exceptional.

Sylas slowly stirred awake, a sharpness glistening in his pupils.

The benefits of Hibernation Halo shouldn't have been able to trigger while he was asleep. It needed his Wisdom to keep it active.

However, this was yet another benefit of Synergy. Hibernation Halo came from One Kind For Me, but thanks to his Fusion ability from Were-For-The-Invincible still being active, there were parts of Sylas' brain that were still active even while he was unconscious.

Of course, that activity came from the Bone-Tailed Lizard and the Glasirith.

The Bone-Tailed Lizard was too simple-minded, but the Glasirith, even as a newborn, was anything but. It still didn't have complex thoughts, but doing something as simple as ensuring his Fusion didn't cancel and Hibernation Halo remained active was easy enough.

And once again, because Sylas fused with two of his Contracts, the recovery he benefited from was double, approaching 30 000%. That was already better than the vast majority of Elixirs. These three hours of sleep he had was the equivalent of almost a month of recovery time.

But the fact he needed this much sleep in the first place just showed that he had maybe pushed his body much too far.

'No, it isn't my body that suffered the most. My wounds healed well enough already. It's the pressure on my mind...'

Even if his mind had been a rubberband it should have snapped by now.

First he suffered the continuous attacks of the Snail Queen, then experienced several mental breakdowns before he suddenly unlocked Demonic Will. But rather than making him feel better, Demonic Will placed even more pressure on his Mental stats. He chewed through his Will faster, and the constant introspection sapped up his Wisdom like a desert might a drop of water.

Before he could even get used to that, he formed yet another Will.

This Martial Will was odd... it felt like it was both a part of him, and yet not at all.

And its abilities had a great deal of potential. Experiencing it, Sylas felt that it was foolish of him to ignore it for so long.

If he had had his Mixed Martial Arts Comprehension with him the entire time, his combat prowess would be leagues beyond what it was now.

The more powerful opponents he faced, the more powerful his Martial Will would become, and the more skilled he would grow in combat.

If Madness gave him his telekinesis and the ability to target the minds of others while controlling his own...

Then Mixed Martial Arts allowed him to grasp the combat style of the opponents with great ease and even incorporate their abilities into his own. This allowed him not only to grow stronger in combat, but also helped him in seeing through the flaws of his enemies.

But much like Madness, it had another ability as well.

Supression.

'There are parallels here... Telekinesis and this Martial Sense are more tangible abilities, while the latter two abilities are both mental attacks. Do all Comprehensions come with a set of one each?'

After having this thought, Sylas tossed it to the back of his mind.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

A Demonic Will stirred in his body and he became incomparably focused.

The snow capped mountains of the Grimblades family compound flew past beneath him.

Sylas stood to his feet and took a step forward.

He began to plummet from the skies, the harsh, cold winds slicing against his skin.

When he was just 30 meters from the ground and it seemed like he would splatter across the mountains, he slowed until his toes lightly touched the iced soil.

At that moment, Sylas wore nothing but the seal skin skirt of the Clypsians. All of the rest of his clothes had already been torn to pieces, leaving him with nothing but this.

But the lack of clothes didn't seem to bother him at all... neither did the new scars that littered his body.

Beneath the reflective moonlight, the silvery blue hues, they were pop from time to time. Discolored trenches and bumps in his skin that painted the picture of a man who had been through life and death time and time again.

There were too many new additions this time around to care to count them all, but maybe the two most gruesome was the one on his neck and the one in his quad.

The first was from Vaekra's arrow. Even now, there was a dull ache that came from it, a phantom pain that reminded him of how he had almost lost his life.

The second was from Vesta who still hung high in the skies, the peacock hovering high above the Grimblade's compound, following after Sylas' gate in complete silence.

One after another, Runes began to appear, hovering above Sylas' body. With a pulse of light,

they formed the plates of armor and clinked into place like real metal fixtures.

A violet hue poured out into the night, fluttering snowflakes gliding down from the skies and vanishing from sight the moment they touched Sylas.

WHOOSH!

A tempest of wind kicked up when the armor was completed.

CLANG. CLANG. CLANG.

50% Mastery. +2000 Physical. Flesh Mastery Scorpion Warlord Armor.

The Scorpion Warlord Armor darkness, a black Demonic Will pulsing.

There was a flicker before Sylas, and 50 meters ahead of the path he was on, a shadowy figure appeared.

"Turn back."

The voice only spoke two words, simple and plain. Sylas recognized the emotionless voice quite well. It was the very same man that had protected by Lucius' side the last time.

The husk of a man, carrying not the slightest bit of Will of his own.

Sylas could remember feeling a great amount of pressure from this man. And yet...

BANG!

Sylas appeared before the man in a crouched position, his palm driving forward with such

force that wind whistled between his fingers.

The heel of his hand slammed into the man's chest.

The sickening crunch of bone echoed as the man was sent flying backward.

"Bring me Lucius Grimblade's head and all of this can end right now."
