Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 455 Rookies' Return

"K-Kuuhh…"

Shye didn't notice when he was fighting the wyvern but his body was aching all over.

He was full of vitality, however, the few broken bones in his body needed another type of potion which he currently didn't have.

Therefore, he had no choice but to continue hunting while enduring the sharp pain that occasionally flared up.

Shye was no stranger to pain, however, and didn't dwell on it, as he had a far more important problem to address.

'Hmm…This would be far more valuable intact…' Shye pondered as he stared at the corpse of the massive Ember Wyvern.

If he butchered the corpse by himself, he would probably only be able to sell the loot for 1000 gold coins at most.

However, if he could bring it back intact and sell it to the prominent material shops, then he would probably earn around 2,000 to 2,800 gold coins depending on the corpse's condition.

The problem is, how would he bring the darned corpse back?n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

He could pull it manually, however, he might not make it back to Valenzia City on time.

He also tried storing corpses in the system's inventory in the past, but unfortunately, it didn't work.

'Sigh…should I just butcher it now?'

Just when he was about to give up, a feasible idea suddenly popped up in his mind.

'Oh…What if I try to store it in a spatial corpse container?'

Such items were naturally expensive, however, Shye knew that he would need them not only now but in the future as well since the corpses of the creatures he would hunt as a high-ranked adventurer would be more valuable when intact.

He couldn't simply manually pull them back every time, could he?

'Or…could I?'

Shye still intended to buy a spatial corpse container, but he couldn't help spending a few minutes contemplating the new point farming scheme he had just devised.

'Couldn't I store the corpses in the spatial container first? Then, when I'm a kilometer or so away from the city, I could unload the corpses and manually pull them inside!'

"Hahaha! Yes…Yes, that should work."

Shye couldn't calm himself down for a good few minutes, eager to try his new plan.

Taking one deep breath, he reminded himself that he should focus on the task at hand, after all, there were still five days left.

If he wanted to ensure his victory, he must return to hunting as soon as possible.

'I vowed to not use system points to purchase items but…I'll make an exception this time.'

Browsing the system, he quickly found what he was looking for under the [Spatial Items] section, however, he didn't know what size he should purchase as the wyvern was truly too enormous.

He could always use gold coins to buy more in the city, and he really didn't want to spend more system points than necessary as he needed to save up 1,000,000 points to upgrade the system to level 4.

'Hmm... Should I buy the large, extra-large, or extra-extra-large one?' Shye pondered for a while before deciding to purchase the extra-extra-large one for 40,000 points.

This way, he could ensure that his system points wouldn't be wasted if the smaller ones turned out to be insufficient.

[Congratulations! You have purchased an Extra Large Spatial Corpse Container for 40,000 points!]

Retrieving the container from the system's inventory, Shye's heart raced as he tried to store the enormous corpse inside the Extra Large Spatial Corpse Container.

Shortly after, though, he realized his worries were unfounded, as the container he purchased could even store two and a half Ember Wyverns.

After storing the wyvern, he placed the container back into the system's inventory, putting him in a good mood despite the sharp pains that intermittently coursed through his body.

Unfortunately, over the next five days, Shye encountered only one (A-) ranked creature, one (B) ranked creature, and two (B-) ranked creatures.

Despite this, he didn't feel as nervous as he had initially been.

'There's no way those bastards could've killed an Ember Wyvern level monstrous creature…' Shye inwardly thought, taking one deep breath before activating the return scroll handed to them by the arena staff members.

Soon after, a gentle blue light enveloped Shye's body, teleporting him back to the city.

Within a designated indoor area of the Valenzia Arena, azure lights emanated from special stone tablets on the ground, gradually forming into human shapes one after another.

Naturally, Shye was amongst those who recently arrived.

To easily determine who arrived, the special stone tablets had numbers assigned to them, and the seeded ones were placed in a different room. Read new chapters at empire

…Looking around, Shye saw Damien's smug face. The bastard was looking right at him.

'Heh, this idiot…'

Shye would never be in the mood to talk with arrogant and stupid people, hence, he decided to ignore Damien, not knowing that his actions would only serve to boost the idiot's confidence.

"Competitor Crowley from Balkrow City, correct?"

"Yes, that's correct."

"Please hand over your automatic recording crystal and the emergency talisman."

…After making sure that there was nothing else he needed to do, Shye proceeded to leave the arena.

"Hahaha! You seem nervous, Crowley. Did your hunts not go as planned?"

Only, he couldn't do so in peace as Damien kept on provoking him, seemingly very confident in his victory.

Shye ignored all of the guy's attempts, though, as he wanted Damien to prance around like the clown he is before destroying his heart and mind on the presentation day.

After all, if he allowed Damien to think that he had already won, then the pain and humiliation the idiot would feel would double or even triple after losing to him again.

"Hahahaha! What a fraud!" were the last words Shye heard as he left the arena.

'Heh, that's it, keep celebrating. I doubt fools like you could even handle the three standing beside me, so what makes you think you could defeat me?'

Perhaps Damien thought that Shye would be the most inferior among the four standing in front, and as long as his points were higher than Shye's, he could consider his loss avenged.

What he hadn't anticipated was that he would have to defeat the other three opponents before even having a chance to challenge Shye.
