It always competes for the second spot... from the bottom, but somehow it consistently retains its position as the very last," Luo Li said without a shred of hesitation, completely unbothered by the fiery glare she was receiving from Zhou Huixin. "It’s also well-known that the peak master is lazy and the weakest of all the peak masters," she added bluntly.

"Hey, hey! Disciple Luo Li, you do realize I’m sitting right here and can hear you, right? isn’t it a bit rude? " Zhou Huixin said, her voice tight as veins bulged on her forehead.

" I am just stating facts" Luo Li said in a sweet innocent which caused more veins to pop on Zhou Huixin’s forehead and cursed inwardly.

’Tsk, I thought I could keep that under wraps. Didn’t expect him to know. Now it’ll be even harder to convince him to join,’ Zhou Huixin muttered inwardly, clicking her teeth in annoyance.

’I even threw my disciples under the bus with the offer of letting him dual cultivate with all of them!’ She thought internally, she was confident that her disciples would be more than happy to cultivate with someone as handsome and talented as Wang Ming.

"Fine, I will join your peak," Wang Ming said, cutting off Zhou Huixin mid-complaint. She froze and looked in his direction with wide eyes. Even his girls stared at him in surprise, thinking he would reject her offer since he could gain better benefits by joining other peaks.

"Yes, I did. I will join," Wang Ming replied with a smile, leaving Zhou Huixin staring at him blankly.

’So easily… he agreed?’ Zhou Huixin was baffled. She had been certain Wang Ming would reject her offer—not that she had offered much in the first place. Still, she had been prepared to negotiate further and even offer treasures to convince him. She hadn’t expected him to agree so easily, especially since he undoubtedly knew he could secure better benefits by joining other peaks.

"Why did you agree to join?" Zhou Huixin asked curiously.

"Do you not want me to join? In that case..." Wang Ming began, his sentence cut off midway.

"No, no, no! I absolutely want you to join. Forget I even asked!" Zhou Huixin hurriedly interrupted, clearly anxious he might change his mind.

"I want to know, Wang Ming—why did you agree? I’m 100% sure one of the reasons is the women, but that can’t be the only reason," Bai Lingxi said, her gaze sharp, causing Wang Ming’s lips to twitch in annoyance.

"Jade Peak is the weakest peak," Wang Ming said as he glanced at the girls.

"You don’t need to repeat it again," Zhou Huixin mumbled under her breath.

"Wouldn’t it be fun to see the reactions of the other Peak Masters when I make Jade Peak reach first place?" Wang Ming added with a smirk. This was his third reason for joining, aside from the mission and the women.

"You seem very confident that you can make my peak reach the top. Even if you’re strong, and your partners are too, it won’t be enough," Zhou Huixin said, raising an eyebrow at his bold claim.

"What am I good at?" Wang Ming asked, pointing at himself.

"Fighting," Zhou Huixin replied, tilting her head slightly.

"Yes, that. And what else?" he pressed.

"Oh..." Zhou Huixin’s eyes widened in realization. In her shock at him accepting her offer, she had momentarily forgotten the main advantage of having Wang Ming on her side.

"Exactly," Wang Ming said with a satisfied nod.

"Indeed, I forgot. You can increase the cultivation of the girls. Then... you can truly make it happen," Zhou Huixin said, her excitement growing as she imagined her peak finally claiming the top spot after being last in the rankings for so long.

"Peak Master, if you don’t mind, can you explain how someone like you became a Peak Master? I mean, you’re not even at the Golden Core Realm. I’m sure there were other elders more qualified," Wang Ming asked casually. When Zhou Huixin heard his question, her lips trembled, and she glared at him.
