Chapter 4127 Fires Of Life Language
Chapter 4127 Fires Of Life Language
Lereza didn't know much about the Fires of Life Language. It was too old to even consider if it existed. The human race might not have even existed in that age. Even the Celestial Wood Spirit Race might not have existed, so she had no memories of it.
Scholars had determined it was most likely a myth, along with other mysterious things that couldn't be defined, so there were only a few mentions of it.
However, to think it was real and could be spoken by Calypsea and the Realm Core's spirit.
'Could it be only primordial entities can speak it…?'
Lereza wondered as a wider world opened in front of it. She was fascinated by the things she hadn't found yet.
Calypsea was an apocalyptic flame spirit. Her essence was derived through the destruction of the Astral Forgeheart Minor Realm, but karmically speaking, it could be said these flames never died out and would appear when a realm meets its lifespan. It was a primordial rule of life and death for realms to be engulfed in apocalyptic flames in time immemorial, so this flame could be considered an ancient entity by itself.
Lereza also derived that with this same karmic power of the apocalyptic flames, Calypsea managed to destabilize the Realm Core's bond with the Realm Master. She could simply think of no other power managing to do it. Her knowledge wasn't that high.
Still, Lereza was insanely curious. However, time was ticking. Her expression turned into one of reluctance that she couldn't explore more of this miraculous situation. She clenched her teeth and suppressed the curiosity in her heart.
"Calypsea, ask if the Realm Core is willing to submit to us."
"Okay~"
Calypsea nodded and turned to look at the realm core, her gaze piercing through the outer crystal and landing inside the central core and three more layers inside of it to see a tiny spirit outline. She could only see that far after squinting her eyes to the size of a needle and focusing hard.
She remembered Mingzhi having taught her how to conduct a negotiation to spare one's life in exchange for loot or loyalty. But suddenly, her expression faltered as she turned to look back at Lereza.
"Elder sister, wouldn't I no longer have this delicacy if it submitted?"
"…" Lereza turned speechless at this little glutton.
"Ahh, I want it, please…"
Calypsea waved her hands, appearing to be stubborn.
"Calypsea, you can't be like this. If the Realm Core is alive and has a sentient spirit, it is innocent. You should not eat it alive since it has not caused us harm, but of course, if it continues to aid those people who want to kill us, we can kill it. We have to be cautious about this matter."
Lereza advised. She was shocked to find that ending a Realm Core prematurely would invite the Desolate Era, so she didn't want to go too far.
"…"
Calypsea pouted. She was barely stopping herself from throwing herself on the Realm Core again. It made her feel like she was accomplishing her life's mission to devour the Realm Core, but she was said not to.
It made her feel sad and angry. She glared at Lereza with narrowed eyes. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"…!"
Lereza suddenly felt a hint of danger, as though she had been locked down by a predator. Her heart sank, imagining that Calypsea's destructive impulses were taking over her.
Purple-black flames sizzled around Calypsea. But eventually, she breathed out a sigh and lowered her head.
"Elder sister Lereza is a bad sister."
"Wha-"
Lereza gawked, "You-"
She pointed at Calypsea, looking like she was about to argue, but found herself at a loss, wondering why she was acting like a kid to a kid who told her she was a bad girl. She shook her head.
"Fine, I'm a bad woman who refuses you candy, but trust me, Calypsea. Do as you say, and Master Davis will allow you to taste all kinds of Realm Cores."
"Really!?"
Calypsea's expression instantly brightened.
"Yes!~"
With Lereza's admission, Calypsea cheered and instantly got to work.
"Are you willing to submit to me?"
She sang in that same destabilizing voice that couldn't be heard properly as there was too much noise.
"You'll let me survive…?" The Realm Core Spirit's voice was filled with disbelief, even though it was filled with hope.
"If you don't, I will eat you whole!" Calypsea barred her fangs as she made a wolf-like pose.
As she did so, she wondered if she managed to scare the Realm Core spirit well.
Little did she know that without the pressure or the flames she emitted, her posture and expression were nothing more than cute. However, to the Realm Core's spirit, it appeared to be deadly. It really was as though a primordial predator was about to lunge.
"O' Young Spirit, please forgive me for being impetuous. I am willing to submit, but how? I can't form a bond with you."
"What? You won't become my crystal candy!?"
Calypsea had just dropped her fists but instantly raised one as though she was looking for a fight.
"O' Young Spirit, please quell your anger. I didn't mean it that way. I don't know what crystal candy is, but I can't take an Empyrean Spirit as my partner. You need to be an Immortal Emperor Spirit or much lesser in your cultivation."
"Oh…"
Calypsea blinked before she reported this to Lereza.
"The Realm Core is willing to submit? Great!"
Lereza almost broke out into a dance, but she settled in for cheering while she looked so happy. She couldn't help but imagine the praise she would receive from Davis and Myria for having gained such information. She glanced at Calypsea from the corner of her eye and snickered inside cheekily.
'If only you knew the worth of this information, you little candy glutton…'
Lereza giggled before she waved her hand, looking almighty.
"Tell the Realm Core to stop forming a bond with anyone else other than whom you point to. As long as you manage to get its word, our master will bestow us plenty of rewards, including whatever you ask."
"Yay!~"
Calypsea jumped and cheered. She instantly relayed their demands to the Realm Core's spirit.
"I… accept your demand."
"Good! You're a good spirit!"
Calypsea haughtily smiled as she had her hands on her waist. She then looked at Lereza and gave a thumbs up with a smug smirk.
"…" Lereza was thoroughly gobsmacked, wondering if Calypsea was simply playing with her.
After all, Calypsea was known to do some inflammable pranks on unaware souls, although it was just at the level of a tiny wisp, and it didn't dwell on becoming a disaster.
However, seeing Calypsea being smug about it, she was forced to believe that this entire conversation between an apocalyptic spirit and a Realm Core Spirit took place.
Still, Lereza couldn't help but remain stupefied.
Wasn't it said that Anarchic Divergents cannot form a bond with Realm Cores? How come this Realm Core Spirit was okay with submitting to Calypsea? It only cited cultivation base as a reason and not the Divergent status of Calypsea's!
In the next few minutes, Calypsea retrieved and absorbed all the apocalyptic flames in the surroundings. The realm's apocalyptic flames were tasty as well.
They then left, choosing to visit sometime later as they didn't have anyone to form a bond with it now other than Fenren.
As for the integrity of merely taking some words in exchange for its life, Lereza didn't think a Realm Core's Spirit was capable of lying. If it talked in the most primordial language, then each word it said was akin to swearing to the heavens. Its word should be its bond, connected to its own life, and become severed or harmed if it were to go against it.
