Destroying My Own World

Chapter 110 The place.

"The world is still in shock after what happened earlier. It's everywhere and nobody isn't talking about them, and seeing the reaction, everyone wants them to be punished, death punishment," Danny said as he scrolled through his phone.

"They're asking who? Do you think there's anyone in this world who can kill them? These people can only talk and demand, not knowing the situation that Mykel and his team had killed a few strong Awakeners that the world has left," Anastasia responded as she looked out the window and the beautiful scenery from inside the car.

The others didn't have any comment related to the current situation since they were still in disbelief. Anzel's mood hadn't gotten any better, and he had been so grumpy and he might have changed after what happened.

"Miss Sasha, can I ask you something?" Eun Soo asked as she looked at Sasha who sat in the front seat. "Do you know Mykel in person? When you were calling him, you looked like you know him," Eun Soo pointed out.

Everyone immediately looked at Sasha who had been silently staring at the road the whole time.

"He's a friend of mine a few years back. We have known each other long enough to comfortably talk with each other," Sasha answered and kept looking forward to hiding her expression.

"Why didn't you tell us about it? Why did you keep it a secret from us?" Anastasia asked with suspicion.

"Would that make a difference if I told you guys about it? Would that miraculously change the situation just because you know about it?" Sasha asked and glanced at everyone at the back. "I never asked about your past, or any of you, so why is it so important for you to know everything about me?" Sasha asked again.

Sasha wasn't wrong and they all agreed with her answer, but at the same time seeing her so defensive about it only brought more questions. They saw her cry when she saw Mykel, and it made the wonder if they were really just friends or more than that. But, they didn't want to ask any more questions since they wanted to respect her past as she respected theirs.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to be like that," Anastasia said.

The atmosphere became awkward because of it, and nobody knew how to break the ice until Gea pointed out something.

"Now that I think about it, don't you guys find it suspicious and curious that Mykel killed Lilith? I mean they killed a few people back there, but Mykel specifically wanted her dead. Do you think that's weird?" Gea asked as she looked at everyone.

"You're right, that's indeed suspicious. We all know that she's dangerous, even Miss Sasha herself didn't want to be around her. Does he know something that we don't?" Eun Soo added as she rubbed her chin. "Or perhaps Mykel already knew about her since we all know the Redshield Guild used to be a part of the Guilds of the World," Eun Soo pointed out.

Sasha had been thinking about it ever since she left the hotel, and she wondered if he knew something. She had so many questions for Mykel, and she wanted to know if he was trying to protect her or if it was just a coincidence. She also realized that Lucifer hadn't been bothering her ever since Jeanne got rid of him.

"This is as far as the car can go," Anzel said as he looked at the map on his phone. "We are going to walk from now on," Anzel continued as he got out of the car.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Everyone followed Anzel since he was the one who used the map, and they trusted him with his ability to read it without the internet. They followed as they were admiring the scenery which made them feel calm and relaxed.

The journey wasn't smooth since a few demons lurked in the forest and around the mountain. They had to deal with them as they went deeper into the woods, but it wasn't a problem since the demons were weak.

"We should be there any minute now..." Anzel said as he pointed his flashlight around. "I'm not sure where exactly, but it should be near," Anzel added as he looked at the sky and it was already nighttime.

"I'll lead the way. Raphael is guiding me," Sasha said as she walked to the front.

Everyone followed Sasha and suddenly they found an abandoned church in the middle of a forest, surrounded by mountains. The building was so small that it would only fit two dozen people at most, but it was still in good shape.

"Is this the place? Should we get inside?" Danny asked as he pointed his flashlight at the church.

When they were thinking if they should enter the church or not, the clouds moved away as the moonlight started to irradiate the church. It felt like they were given a sign and answered their questions if they should enter or not.

They entered the church and were welcomed by a sweet and relaxing scent that they had never smelled before. The inside was still clean without a single dust covering the walls or the benches as if someone was taking care of the church.

"Now what?" Gea asked as she looked around to find out where the sweet scent was coming from.

Sasha walked to the podium and saw a small book lying on it. She opened the book and read the first page out loud.

"As thee hath't did find the light, we shalt giveth thee the warmth. With the lord's wilt, we shalt guide thee into the source of the light," Sasha said.

As soon as Sasha said that, the sound of a bell was rung above them, and it startled them. They were readying their weapons as they looked around nervously because they could feel the overwhelming presence around them.

"What's going on here?!" Anastasia looked around as she felt the floor tremble.

Suddenly they were suffocated and fell down to their knees as they held their necks. They felt the air getting thinner and the pressure on their heads and shoulders pushed them down to the ground. They had no idea what was happening, but they were all terrified except for Sasha who was still standing tall on the podium.

Anzel and the others looked at Sasha and they were surprised that she was fine. They saw Sasha walk down the podium and walk past them to the door. They wanted to ask, but they couldn't open their mouths because of the pressure, and they were slowly losing consciousness.

Sasha remembered the feeling and she could see the lights getting brighter and brighter outside the windows. She then looked up and suddenly black mist struck her down and brought all the pain and loneliness she had back to her.

The ground stopped trembling and the pressure was gone so that they could stand up and breathe again. They looked at each other and wondered what had just happened, but then they realized that Sasha had gone missing.

"Miss Sasha?! Where are you?!" Gea asked as she looked around the church. "Miss Sasha!" Gea shouted as she looked at every corner of the church with the others, but they couldn't find her anywhere.

When they were busy looking for Sasha, they heard the door open and made a loud creaking sound. They were petrified and frozen still as they looked at the door and the bright light outside. They looked at each other and didn't know if they should go out or not since Sasha wasn't with them.

"Come forth," A gentle voice could be heard from outside the door.

The voice was enough to calm them down, and somehow got hypnotized and followed the voice. They all walked out of the church and the light was blinding them for a moment until they could hear the sound of birds chirping and the sound of water splashing.

They were stunned by the beautiful garden with beautiful and colorful flowers that they had never seen before. The flowers released the same sweet scent that they had been smelling, and they could see small birds on the giant tree in front of them. They saw a river on their left side and how clear the water was with a pool of fish swimming inside.

"Where... Are we..." Luis asked as he slowly walked toward the giant tree with bright white leaves. "Are we in heaven?" Luis added as he looked at the birds chirping and flying around the tree.

"If this is heaven, I don't want to leave..." Eun Soo said as she looked at the flowers and touched the smooth petals that made her feel relaxed and sleepy.

"It would be an insult to The Lord if this is heaven. Heaven is thousands of times more beautiful than this," The same voice could be heard from above. "This is what humans would call a lobby. A place to welcome the guests," the voice continued.

They all looked up and saw six wings spread open that was slowly descending toward them. They saw a woman who owned those wings stand right under the tree, and she was smiling at them as she held a book in her hands.

"The Lord calls me Auriel, or Uriel by the humans. You can call me with either one of them," Uriel said as she folded her wings and walked toward them. "It is an honor to welcome you all here," Uriel smiled that was enough to hypnotize them.
