Chapter 1714: Mentally Unstable Faction Leader And Member II



The young man walked over to the side of Grey's opponent as he spoke about Grey's two domains, he added after stopping beside his companion, "Although, I do not think the Faction Leader will agree to this.

Grey looked at the young man, his gaze was sharp. He knew that this battle would determine the outcome of this trip for him. Getting the darkness elemental treasure might be able to help him awaken his darkness domain. Once his darkness domain awakens, he'll be left with his wind, space, and light elemental domains unawakened. Having four domains out of eight elements is outstanding to say the least, but Grey wanted all his elements to have domains of their own, which was not a bad thing to want.

Grey has given the crowd too many surprises, and some of them, for some reason, couldn't help but feel like Grey would once again give them another surprise in this upcoming battle. Everyone already knew that for the next hundreds of years, even if Grey loses today, tales of his stupidity will spread in the Pyro Faction. Most of them didn't even think he'd win, but the thought of seeing him battle two people filled them with joy. Grey was the underdog in this fight, just like when he first fought during the Sixth stage Sovereigns competition.

Grey, still standing mid-air with icy flames dancing around him, bowed slightly and asked, "Shall we?"

The duo looked in the direction of the Elder in charge, who in turn looked in the direction of the Elders' area. He didn't know if he should sanction this, as there's a high chance that the duo might overwhelm Grey in the blink of an eye and fatally wound him. If that happens, it'll be disastrous since everyone here knew just how talented Grey was.

Lord Dante looked at Faction Leader Bertram, he had received the inquiry from the Elder to know if he should declare the start of the battles or not.

"You do know that against two opponents, his chances of getting hurt will increase, drastically" He wanted to be certain, Grey isn't someone he would want injured in his Faction grounds.

"Don't worry about him, if he dies, then he's incompetent." Faction Leader Bertram was still confident outside, but internally he was hoping that Grey overcomes this. The truth is, he too is a bit skeptical, but knowing Grey over the years, he knew that he isn't one to let small success get to his head. He's always calm and collected, and that's the reason why he has been able to grow this much. He didn't need to fear anything because they are in most cases within his calculations.

Getting the confirmation from Faction Leader Bertram, Lord Dante sighed, the duo of Faction Leader Bertram and Grey were just psychos, this was the only conclusion he could come to.

'Fine, there's no way they can kill someone I don't want dead while in my Faction.' He gave up and decided to act the moment he senses that Grey's life is in any danger during the course of the battle.

The Elder in charge of the platform received confirmation to go ahead with the battle from Lord Dante, which stumped him. Lord Dante has always been one that prioritizes the safety of those competing in the competitions, hence the reason the rule of being number one in a cultivation stage is the only way one can be allowed to face those above them in this competition.

This competition is very fierce given what they're fighting for, so battles across stages were very rare as no one would want to hold back.

"Begin!" He announced the start of the battle.

When the crowd heard that the battle had been sanctioned and would take place, they were beyond shocked. This was the first time something of this sort is happening in the history of the competition, and it's all because of one outsider.

"Hahaha, there truly is a first time for everything!" The young man laughed when he heard that they could fight Grey.

He exploded out with an even more frightening aura than his companion.

"Time to show you what we are capable of." He laughed and a huge black bird appeared in the sky.

"That's Senior Vale's Elemental Warrior!"

With the appearance of the majestic black bird flying above the young man who's referred to as Senior Vale, the arena exploded with even more noise.

Lord Dante's fists were clenched as he saw this, he didn't expect Vale to use his Elemental Warrior right from the get go.

'This is going to be difficult.'

Back on the platform.

Grey was still mid-air, he looked at the bird that appeared before him and his heart skipped a bit. It was also in the peak of the Seventh stage. Luckily, Elemental Warriors get harder to grow in the Sovereign Plane. But this doesn't change the fact that he was in trouble. He initially had to deal with two people, now adding the power of the peak Seventh stage Sovereign Elemental Warrior, it meant that he technically had to battle against three people of the same cultivation stage.

He felt his body tense up, and it was not from fear, but rather, excitement. It was finally time, time for him to go all-out. Since he became a Sovereign, he has always kept his power in check. He hasn't done anything extravagant since then, but this time, he has to throw caution to the wind.

The Elders and Lord Dante saw the excitement in Grey's eyes, which once again confirmed their hypothesis, the Faction Leader and member duo were psychopaths. In short, they've even lost hope that either of them could be saved.

Vale looked at Grey's eyes, and an ominous feeling started to brew in his heart.
