Absolute Resonance

Chapter 1432: Celestial Mirror Continent, Mythical Spirit Ancient College

"This is the Celestial Mirror Continent?"

Li Luo was standing atop a gigantic Tree of Resonant Power. As his gaze swept across the world, he could only see even more towering Trees of Resonant Power standing between the heavens and the earth. Although these Trees of Resonant Power could not compare with the Ancient Progenitor Tree of Resonant Power in the Heavenly Origin Ancient College in terms of scale, they were comparable to the previously destroyed one in the Astral Sage College.

This was the first time he had seen such a magnificent sight. Beneath the massive trees was a humongous and majestic city that stretched into the horizon. The city itself was quite special as it was formed by the numerous intertwined branches of the trees. Beams of light zipped around the city.

Chi Chan, Cao Sheng, and Mi Er looked at the sheer number of high-grade Trees of Resonant Power with complicated gazes. The one that had belonged to the Astral Sage College was destroyed and a new one had been fortunately earned by Li Luo in the wake of the Other Disaster after much difficulty. That said, it would take time for it to mature. Behind Li Luo was a giant teleportation platform. Spatial ripples repeatedly radiated from it, and squads with different uniforms continuously appeared.

It was clear that these were the representatives from other colleges.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Li Luo could sense that Chi Chan seemed a little down, so he changed the topic. "Are we already at the Celestial Mirror Continent? Why haven't I seen the Celestial Mirror Pagoda?"

She replied, "Because we are already inside it."

Li Luo was shocked. "We are in it?"

Chi Chan nodded. "Strictly speaking, the Celestial Mirror Pagoda encompasses the entire Celestial Mirror Continent. Entering the Celestial Mirror Continent means we have entered the pagoda itself."

Li Luo lightly sucked in a breath of air. The Celestial Mirror Pagoda was truly incredible—it contained an entire continent! Although this was a smaller continent, the area it encompassed was probably no smaller than the entirety of the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li's territories. And just how many powers and cities were within it? Just how many billions of people lived in the area?

And yet such an expansive territory was contained within the Celestial Mirror Pagoda, which signified just how terrifying it was.

If one were to extrapolate and look at the bigger picture, they could also gain a sense of how grand the ancient Sacred Void Resonance Sect was at its peak, just how truly massive it was. At the very least, the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li wouldn't be able to construct something similar with their resources and foundation.

"Why don't you try and sense the worldly natural energy here?" Chi Chan said.

With a thought, Li Luo spread out his senses, and a few moments later, his gaze condensed. He could sense that the worldly natural energy here was extraordinarily dense, but it also contained a mysterious aura. This aura was extremely thin, but it gave off an archaic but pure sort of feeling. It allowed one's mind to clear up and would enable them to cultivate twice as quickly with half the effort.

"What is this?" Li Luo couldn't help but ask.

"It's rumored that the Celestial Mirror Pagoda's core is full of esoteric mysteries. It's able to radiate an inexplicable power that is able to fuse with the worldly natural energy within the Celestial Mirror Pagoda. As a result, cultivation here is hastened," Chi Chan explained.

"The core of the Celestial Mirror Pagoda?" Li Luo's gaze flickered. He had heard of some of the mysteries of this place, and the core was probably the remains of a Heavenly Emperor. However, this sort of secret was probably something that mentors on the level of Chi Chan were not exposed to. This meant that the worldly natural energy was influenced by the remnant power of a deceased Heavenly Emperor. Cultivating here was probably even more effective than at the main mountain of the Dragon's Fang Mountain Range. Li Luo couldn't help but to sigh. This was the foundation that the Academic Federation was built upon. It was an isolated paradise for cultivation that allowed them to nurture countless talented prodigies.

"Our current location is the Celestial Mirror Pagoda's first Heavenly Domain. Many mentors with outstanding achievements or top students who have graduated from the Heavenly Star Hall are allowed to spend a period of time here," Chi Chan continued.

"There are even mentors who accumulate merits over a period of time and redeem them at once so they can cultivate here bitterly for a few years in one stretch."

Cao Sheng then added, "When you obtained a Violet Resonant Tree Brooch from the Holy Grail Meet in the East Divine Continent, Mentor Chi Chan was provided with a decent amount of merits. If not for the huge changes to the Astral Sage College, she might have already secluded herself here to cultivate. It could be said that the Astral Sage College has dragged her down."

Chi Chan shook her head. "My merits were given by the Astral Sage College, and it's currently in a precarious state. How could I seclude myself for a few years just like that?"

Li Luo sighed. Chi Chan was truly a good person. She stood aloof, avoiding worldly affairs if she could, and yet had a great sense of justice and prized relationships. Being her student at the Astral Sage College was his blessing. At that point in time, House Luolan was facing internal and external troubles, and yet she had taken it upon herself to scare away any ravenous wolves that coveted them.

Mi Er smiled. "Chi Chan understands the Celestial Mirror Pagoda much more than Cao Sheng and I. After all, she was in the Heavenly Star Hall in the past."

"Oh?" Li Luo was a little surprised. The Heavenly Star Hall was found only in the ancient colleges. Did this mean that Chi Chan had graduated from one of them? However, she had ended up at the Xia Kingdom and became a mentor in the Astral Sage College. How had she not returned after all these years? Furthermore, he remembered hearing that Chi Chan was not from the Xia Kingdom.

Chi Chan glared at Mi Er, warning him to not blurt out anymore information about her past. Then she turned to walk ahead. "Let's go. We'll register first."

Just as they were about to move, the teleportation platform began to emit strong spatial fluctuations, and a large number of people with dignified temperaments walked out.

This attracted the attention of all the nearby squads.

There people were all wearing gold and black robes that were embroidered with a titanic, golden tree insignia.

Not only was the group large, they all radiated mighty energy undulations. It caused the expressions of the sage college mentors to change.

The group was quickly recognized, and someone blurted out, "That’s... the Mythical Spirit Ancient College's squad!"

"Mythical Spirit Ancient College?" Li Luo's eyes turned towards the group.

Shen Yunge in the World's End River Region was from the Mythical Spirit Divine Continent's Imperial Beast Hall. The Mythical Spirit Ancient College was precisely the ancient college that had established itself on that continent.

Chi Chan's gaze momentarily shifted towards their squad. A few breaths later, her expression changed and she said anxiously, "Let's go."

Li Luo was slightly taken aback as he didn't know what was going on. That said, he followed her and started making his way forward.

Cao Sheng, Mi Er, and Li Hongyou were similarly hot on their heels.

However, before they had gotten very far, energy undulations rippled from in front of them and several people stepped up, blocking their path. At the same time, some playful laughter could be heard.

"Chi Chan, I would never have expected to meet you here. However, what's the point of hiding your face? Could you have forgotten? We are from the same lineage, and there is no place for the branch families to hide from the main family."

As that person’s laughter echoed, Chi Chan froze and her slender, jade-like hands clenched tightly.

Li Luo's gaze swept across the group, and he could see that the one leading them was a robust and well-built male with a playful look on his face. He was staring right at Chi Chan in complete amusement. However, his gaze was like that of a hungry wolf's, containing covetousness... and a hint of rage.
