452  451: Let's Go Shopping

"Who do you think you are?"

The instant Corey said these words, Selene, Pamela, Mona, Lisa, Finley, and even the Dreadkeeper looked stunned.

Selene could not believe that Corey chose to provoke Finley. She was obviously not afraid that Corey would lose, heck, the only way Corey would ever lose was if Finley, Mona, or Lisa had a powerful or strange trick up their sleeves.

The reason why Selene was shocked was because from the days she had spent with Corey, she knew him to be the type of person that was mostly indifferent towards a lot of things.

She knew him to be the type of person that rarely got angry, so for him to say such words was shocking to her.

Pamela was the same, and just like Selene, she also expected Corey to be somebody who rarely got angry, especially at those who were weak and foolish like Finley.

Meanwhile, Mona, Lisa, and Finley were stunned for the same reason… They never expected a tier 2 weakling like Corey to say such words.

The surroundings around the ancient stone became dead silent, and it was broken by the mumbling of Finley.

"Who do you think you are?"

"Who do I think I am?"

"Who do I think I am?"

The moment Finley stopped mumbling, his expression changed, and he slowly raised his hand and looked at Corey with a raging inferno in his eyes and a wide smile on his lips.

"I like you. You have some nice bones."

Finley slowly said while looking at Corey from up to down, and Corey shivered.

"Well, I don't."

Finley's smile widened slightly, and then he took a step forward, shortening the distance between him and Corey to mere centimeters.

"Meet me outside the city if you want to know who I truly am. I wouldn't be able to show who I truly am within the city."

Without waiting for a response from Corey, he turned and then he vanished.

Corey's eyes flickered slightly when he saw Finley vanish, and a slightly surprised expression could be seen in his gaze.

'He teleported… That's surprising.'

"Now you've made him mad."

A calm voice flowed into his ears, and he looked at the female called Mona.

Mona looked at him with a slightly frustrated and annoyed gaze, and when she saw him looking back at her, she could not help but scoff.

"What are we going to do now, Lisa? Even if we tell Finley not to kill him, he wouldn't listen because he's beyond angry."

When Corey heard this, he raised his brows.

'You don't want him to kill me?... Why?' Corey stared at Mona with a truly baffled expression.

Lisa shifted her gaze from Corey to Mona, and a tinge of frustration and anger could also be seen in her gaze.

"I know right. The only reason he's not torturing and killing him straight away is because of the Dreadkeeper's presence. If the Dreadkeeper was not here, he'd have captured, tortured, and then killed him from the moment our boy toy foolishly insulted him."

Corey instantly shivered.

'Boytoy? What the hell?!'

Without hesitation, Corey also teleported away before he heard something else that would make him regret staying there for even another second.

However, the instant Corey teleported away, the eyes of Mona, Lisa, and the Dreadkeeper widened in shock. Even Pamela had a slightly surprised expression when she saw Corey teleport.

"Huh? Did… Did he… Did he just teleport?" Mona turned towards Lisa with a dumbfounded expression while stuttering.

"How is a tier 2 able to teleport?" Lisa asked with a similar dumbfounded expression while staring at Corey's previous position.

"Maybe he wished for the power to teleport?" Mona responded with a slightly unsure tone, and Lisa slowly nodded.

"That should most likely be it… Even if he has an affinity for space, he should not be able to teleport because of the immense strain that his body would be under if he teleported. The pain and strain is not something a tier 2 can handle… Unless he has a special physique that is."

Lisa mumbled the last part of her words, and just as she finished mumbling, she felt a change in the environment.

She frowned, and then she turned towards Selene and Pamela, only to realize that Pamela was nowhere to be seen.

"Huh? Did she?" n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Lisa's eyes widened slightly, and Mona nodded her head with slightly widened eyes.

"She also teleported, but… It was too…. smooth."

Mona did not know how best to put it, but Pamela's teleportation was instant and the subtle changes to the environment that an average teleportation brings about, Pamela's teleportation brought none of it.

'Wait…' Mona's eyes slowly widened, 'Wasn't that tier 2's teleportation also somewhat smooth?'

'Why am I suddenly getting a bad feeling from this?'

Just as Mona had this thought, Selene's mind was also filled with a much different thought.

'Damn it, Master. You know I can't teleport but you and Pamela went ahead and left me behind. Do I now have to walk or run to reach outside the city? I don't even know where all of you went to god damn it!'

Just as Selene had this thought, she felt Corey's familiar aura around her body and a sense of deja vu hit her. Before she could form a complete thought, she vanished.

The instant Mona and Lisa saw Selene vanish, they were shocked, but then they saw a stone appear midair in Selene's previous position.

They were taken aback. They could not comprehend how a stone had replaced Selene, they tried to think of how such a thing could happen, but after some seconds, they gave up because their mind was on something more important.

They looked at one another, and they could not help but have the same thought.

'So we're the only ones that'll walk to the city gates?'

"Should we start running or we should walk at our pace?"

Lisa asked after some seconds, and Mona's left eye twitched. She glanced at Corey's previous location, and then she glanced at the Dreadkeeper who was also staring at Corey, Pamela, and Selene's previous location with a pondering glint in his eyes.

When she recalled how Finley Corey, Pamela, and Selene teleported, her left eye could not help but twitch in frustration.

She turned towards Lisa.

"You know what, let's go shopping. Finley will call us when he's done with that tier 2… Hopefully he doesn't kill him… He'll make a perfect boy toy."

Lisa was slightly taken aback, but a second later, she nodded.

"You're right. Let's go shopping. I need some new clothes."

Mona nodded with a smile, "Righttt. I also need some more makeup."

Mona and Lisa both giggled and with a smile, they both left and went shopping.
